The property is situated on a small upmarket complex ( Le Palmier) of 24 apartments . The Complex Le Palmier is located in the heart of Flic en Flac, a very popular beach resort area situated on the West coast of Mauritius. Without forgetting, that Flic en Flac beach is one of the most beautiful of our island, boasting a transparent blue lagoon with the most incredible and romantic sunset.
The Apartment is a ground floor fully furnished 2 Bedroom Air conditioned apartment with a fully equipped kitchen , 2 bathrooms, open lounge, dining room , front patio and back door space.
Kitchen is well appointed , equipped with microwave, gas hob, extractor hood, electric oven, fridge freezer, washing machine, toaster, coffeemaker & Electric kettle and all cooking utensils such as plates , cutleries and pots & pans.
The Dining room is equipped with glass round table seating 6 people.
The lounge is equipped with very comfortable sofas seating 6 people. TV set with satellite and Wifi facility. The lounge diner is also equipped with a fan.
The two bedrooms are air-conditioned with mosquito nets. Fitted sliding wardrobes throughout, & double beds.
The master bedroom has an ensuite.
Bathrooms: 2 Bathrooms , one in the ensuite bedroom and one common.
The front patio: Sliding doors open on this fabulous tropical garden equipped with a large adult and children swimming pool. The complex is gated with a 24 hr security guard. The apartment also offers a free parking space.
The Back space: Back door opening to this space fitted with washing lines.
The Garden : is well maintained with tropical trees and flowers full with an array of tropical birds. You can relax around the pool, deck chairs and recliners are also provided. The Complex is gated with a 24 hr security guard facility and one free parking space.
The rate : includes all towels and bed linen. Once a week Housekeeping service is included. Babysitting facilities can be arranged on request at a reasonable cost. The apartment sleeps 4 plus a single foldable bed is also provided for a fifth person.
Local Facilties: Flic en Flac has everything required for a relaxing beach holiday. Within a 5 minute walk of the apartment, there is a supermarket which provides fresh bread each morning as well as all requirements for a self-catering holiday. There is also a small shopping centre with shops selling beachwear and souvenirs, a pharmacy, taxi rank , cashpoint & money changer . Within 5 minutes there are a number of good local restaurants including Chinese, Thai, Indian, Mexican ,American, European and local cuisine, as well as bars coffee, shops and casino.
Life in Mauritius is inexpensive (provided you stay out of the big hotels!!!) A three course meal for two with drinks will cost approximately £15 to £20 Many of the restaurants offer a takeaway service should you fancy a quiet evening in the apartment!

Local Excursions: Close to Flic-en-Flac are several interesting excursions:
Quatre Bournes market: Quatre Bournes is located 20 minutes inland from Flic en Flac by local bus service (bus stop 300 metres from the apartment) or taxi. Thurs/ Sun are best for clothes/souvenirs and Wed / Sat for vegetables / local produce. Markets offer a wonderful opportunity to see local life and to buy good value local crafts, but do remember to barter!! Quatre Bournes also has a shopping centre (Orchard) next to the market.
Casela is only 10 minutes from Flic-en-Flac and is a must for families. There is a small zoo, a safari ride and you can fish for little tilapia fish which the children love. Located on a hillside, the views from the restaurant are spectacular and the food is excellent and inexpensive.

Tamarin shopping Mall: A Bus ride away.
La Pirogue Sega night: This is mostly over the week end, if interested, can be arranged.
Caudan Waterfront in the Capital of Port Louis: Only a Bus ride away.
Exploring further afield is worthwhile. Coach trips can be arranged through the tourist office or a taxi hired for a full or half day. Car hire is also easily arranged.
Holidaying in Mauritius - yes, it is affordable!!: A holiday in our apartment makes Mauritius affordable. Air Fares are £500 - £600 through much of the year, rising up to £800 in peak Christmas and school summer holiday periods. However, the cost of living in Mauritius is less than half what it is in Europe so your spending money will go so much further.......Mauritius with its uncrowded beaches of fine white sand, warm clear waters, friendly people, staying in a spacious 2 bed air conditioned apartment with swimming pools and tennis court costs little more than a holiday in Europe, especially for those impacted by the fall of the pound.

Located in Flic-en-Flac, this apartment is near theme parks and on the beach. Tamarina Golf Club and Caudan Waterfront are worth checking out if an activity is on the agenda, while those in the mood for shopping can visit Cascavelle Shopping Mall and Barachois Shopping Center. Active Waves and Odysseo Oceanarium are also worth visiting. Jet skiing and scuba diving offer great chances to get out on the surrounding water, or you can seek out an adventure with ecotours and mountain climbing nearby.
