The Cabin, Built in the 1880s has a story of its own with a connection to the rich Gold Mining History of Mariposa. The seasonal Creek in the back of the property has water flowing from winterish till late to early summer, offering the opportunity to go Gold panning.

2 bedrooms: the Miners Suite offers a full bed and a Bathroom with shower only.

The Cadets' Room has 2 twin beds, and there is also another separate Bathroom with a bathtub only.

The living room offers additional sleeping space for 2 with a queen-sized futon and extra linens.

We were informed by one of the guests of the amazing skies our open meadow has! I'm the astronomer, or even an avid person who studiesll the skies but I'm aware we do get some amazing star gazing opportunities. our guest shared we are in a good visibility area, Bortle Class 4. I know as times we've been able to make out many galaxy shapes while relaxing under the stars.

our exterior of the property is still in rehabilitation. some unfinished areas exist outside please be forgiving while we work to complete these areas, share any input ideas as they are welcome. no health risk present and walkway are clear!

Located in Mariposa, this cabin is in the mountains. Mariposa County's Old Stone Jail and Wassama Round House State Historic Park are local landmarks, and some of the area's attractions include California State Mining and Mineral Museum and Windows on the World Books and Art. Yosemite Mountain Sugar Pine Railroad and El Portal Market are also worth visiting. Spend some time exploring the area's activities, including birdwatching, wildlife walks, and winery tours.
