Getting around

Long Island, located in Casco Bay, is one of Maine’s 15 islands with year-round communities. Located 6 miles off the coast of Portland, the only access to the island is by ferry ride (45 minutes), water taxi or private boat. The island is 3 miles long and 1 mile wide. There is no transportation on the island however bikes are available for rent in the amount of $20 a day on a first come first serve basis. There is also "Long Island Golf Cart Rentals, LLC" on the island, I suggest you reach out and rent a golf cart. There is parking available on the premise for both golf carts and vehicles. You may find getting a vehicle over to the island to be a hassle, but they are certainly welcome and you will save money. 1 vehicle per party please unless authorized before hand. I would plan through the Casco Bay Ferry Terminal for times the barge is going down ocean. Occasionally, I will be able to pick you up from the ferry to bring you to the destination which is no more than 4 football fields of a walk off to the right of the landing. You can't miss Sunset Landing, a beautiful blue home that awaits your stay. You are centrally located at this property, so you don't need to do a whole lot of traveling, this quiet island is great for anyone looking to get away from stress. Ferry Terminal is a short 5 mile uber ride from the JetPort
