Explore the stunning Black Hills with a wide range of activities just minutes away. For adrenaline seekers, snowmobiling, ATV riding, skiing, and snowboarding are all within easy reach. If you prefer something more tranquil, enjoy hiking, biking, rock climbing, fishing, or swimming in the area’s pristine waters. Hickok’s Hideaway is also located near Historic Downtown Deadwood, where you can step back in time and learn about Wild Bill Hickok’s fascinating life and untimely demise.

This spacious cabin features 5 bedrooms, 4 full bathrooms, and 2 half bathrooms—perfect for large groups or family gatherings. You'll enjoy easy access to the highway and nearby towns such as Lead (10 minutes), Deadwood (15 minutes), Spearfish and Sturgis (35 minutes), and Rapid City, Custer, Hill City, and Keystone (just over an hour away).
Guests can take advantage of the complimentary community amenities, including a year-round heated pool, outdoor fire tables, a game room, and a fully equipped kitchen. During summer months, enjoy a larger pool and splash pad, perfect for cooling off on warm days.

While the area is seeing some construction as new cabins are built nearby, Hickok’s Hideaway remains a peaceful retreat where you can unwind and enjoy nature’s beauty. Rest easy knowing that the property is equipped with exterior security cameras for your safety and peace of mind, though these cameras are not positioned in private or interior spaces, ensuring your privacy throughout your stay.

Whether you're here for the winter slopes or the summer sunshine, Hickok’s Hideaway is the ideal home base to explore the diverse wonders of the Black Hills. From snow-covered landscapes to vibrant trails, the area is full of outdoor experiences year-round.
We are excited that more people are falling in love with our area but unfortunately this means there is construction going on near the cabin as others build their own cabins. Please be patient with us as this is frustrating for us too but ultimately out of our control.
Lead is home to this vacation home. Heritage Plaza and Stone Ridge Commons are worth checking out if shopping is on the agenda, while those wishing to experience the area's natural beauty can explore Black Hills National Forest and George S. Mickelson Trail. Consider Outlaw Square for a night out or Homestake Gold Mine if you're traveling with kids. Take in the nearby slopes with cross-country skiing and snowboarding, or check out other outdoor activities such as sledding and snowmobiling.
