Dr. John Hartig - LANCASTER, OH

Dr. John Hartig is originally from Grove City, Ohio. He attended The Ohio State University and pursued a degree in Animal Science, but was granted early acceptance in the Ohio St. University College of Veterinary Medicine in 1990. While in veterinary school, he was a member of Omega Tau Sigma social fraternity and Phi Zeta Veterinary Honor Society. He graduated magna cum laude from the College of Veterinary Medicine in 1994.

Dr. Hartig moved to Lancaster in June of 1994 with his wife, Teresa, to begin his practice career at VCA Morris Animal Hospital. He is a member of both the American and Ohio Veterinary Medical Associations. Dr. Hartig has many interests outside of his practice. He spends much of his free time helping his wife, Teresa, raising their two children, John and Anna. He volunteers to coach in the Lancaster Parks and Recreation soccer league and the Junior Gales youth basketball league. They are members of St. Bernadette Catholic Church here in Lancaster and also make frequent visits back home to Waverly and Grove City to visit family and friends. He likes to read classic literature and grow a vegetable garden each year.

Dr. Hartig enjoys vacationing in warm, relaxing climates and hopes to visit Germany someday with his whole family to visit relatives.
