This 5th floor oceanfront condo at the Kihei Surfside Resort is located on the sought-after ocean side of the building, and has an expansive ocean view from the kitchen, living room, dining area and lanai. It is one of the larger, 1 bedroom / 1.5 bath units (680 sq ft). The view of the ocean and its abundant wildlife is absolutely spectacular.

The unit was completely gutted and fully renovated in 2021 to a very high standard. The unit has air conditioning in both the living room and bedroom. The condo’s décor and soothing color palette are drawn from, and blend into, its natural surroundings to create a peaceful oasis for our guests. The kitchen and vanities and hallway and bedroom are finished in exquisite imported custom French Country cabinetry with quartz countertops. The entry hall, kitchen, living room and bedroom have gorgeous mute-step eucalyptus vinyl plank flooring. The bathrooms are finished in Italian porcelain tile. Original giclée artwork of the Island of Maui is featured throughout the unit. This attention to detail, in addition to its prime oceanfront location in the building, makes this condo truly exceptional.

The attractive island-style kitchen is fully equipped with premium stainless steel appliances, including a refrigerator with ice maker, full-size range, dishwasher, multi-function microwave oven, garbage disposal and a variety of small appliances including coffee maker, four-slice toaster, blender, and hand mixer. There is also a large selection of high quality pots and pans, baking pans, knives, with ample dishes, glasses and cutlery.

The living room has a new 65 inch flat-screen smart TV and a Blu-Ray/DVD player, stylish high-end furnishings, a Turkish area rug and a multi-speed marine-grade ceiling fan. All lighting is dimmable. There is free wireless high-speed Internet and telephone with free long distance calling to the United States and Canada.

The oceanfront dining area features a blond rattan table with round glass top, and 4 matching upholstered rattan armchairs.

The private lanai has a glass bistro table with two sling swivel rocker chairs – a perfect place to enjoy your morning coffee or a romantic oceanfront dinner.

The bedroom has a new Posturepedic King-sized bed, multi-speed marine-grade ceiling fan, French Country furnishings and appointments with quartz tops, plantation shutters, full-size mirrored closet, reading lamps with convenience outlets, and digital security safe.

The master bathroom has a soaker bathtub with shower / hand shower and soft-close glass doors, a lovely French Country vanity with quartz countertop and premium fixtures. The matching half bath has been finished to the same exacting standards. Both bathrooms have American Standard one-piece 'select flush' toilets, Panasonic 'whisper-quiet' exhaust fans, and dimmable lighting.

This condo is fully equipped with fresh linens and towels, hair dryer, iron/ironing board. All units have beach towels and a cooler. Umbrellas and snorkel gear are NOT supplied, but are often left behind in the units by other guests – no guarantees. The Kihei Surfside office loans out beach chairs free of charge during regular business hours - Monday to Saturday. Office is closed Sundays and Holidays. Coin laundry facilities are available on site.

This unit provides the best that Maui has to offer; an outstanding condo, situated in the best location in the building, which itself is right on the ocean at the border of Kihei and Wailea; the sunniest and driest part of the island. You will sleep to the sound of waves, and awaken to breathtaking views of the Pacific Ocean, West Maui Mountains and Kamaole 1, 2 and 3 beaches.

The Kihei Surfside Resort is located at 2936 S. Kihei Road, South Kihei at the entrance of beautiful Wailea. This is the desert part of Maui, where the sun shines more than any other part of the island. The Kihei Surfside Resort consists of an absolute oceanfront concrete building of 6 floors and 84 deluxe units with an elevator. The building underwent an extensive makeover during the summer of 2015, when it was closed for six months. Each unit received new windows, doors and railings, and the building itself had a complete concrete restoration and paint. FREE ON-SITE PARKING AND NO RESORT FEES! The resort is a twenty-five minute drive from the Kahului Airport (OGG). Rental cars are available at the airport or in Kihei town. There are also taxis available at the airport (about $50), a shuttle bus and public transportation.

Virtually all of the properties and resorts in Kihei are either located right on busy S. Kihei Rd., or if they are set back from the road - are across from the street from the ocean. One unique feature of the Kihei Surfside is that it is located at the quiet end of S. Kihei Road, AND is set back 300 feet from S. Kihei Road AND is located right on the ocean! Because it is hard to see from the road, many first time Surfside guests say that even though they have visited Kihei many times, they had never seen the resort!

Another unique feature of the property is that we have a 2 acre, immaculately kept oceanfront lawn area with dozens of loungers, with a heated swimming pool and deluxe barbecue facilities. In season, there are daily whale sightings from both the grounds and lanais. In fact, the Pacific Whale Foundation conducts their annual whale count from our property. The building is located at the north end of Keawakapu Beach, one of the most beautiful beaches on Maui (voted Maui's most romantic), where you can walk for miles past some of the most expensive oceanfront homes on the island and the luxurious hotels of Wailea.
