The house is 35 feet from the water's edge surrounded by tall pines and tucked away at the end of a private, dirt road. The turnaround in front of the house can accommodate multiple cars around the edge but must be kept fairly clear for emergency vehicles .
The house is three stories built into the side of hill so entry is into the second level. This " main level" of the house has a cathedral ceiling with skylights, field stone fireplace, LR/DR and fully equipped kitchen, bath with Jacuzzi, primary bedroom, and twin bedroom with trundle bed. French doors open on to deck overlooking stairs to lake and dock. Above the main floor is a loft with a futon with a full mattress. Lower level has family room, bath with shower, bedroom with queen bed, and utility w/ W& D. The house has WIFI.
Located in Jefferson, this vacation home is in a rural area and on the waterfront. Damariscotta Lake State Park and Hidden Valley Nature Center reflect the area's natural beauty and area attractions include Morse's Sauerkraut and Wiscasset, Waterville and Farmington Railway Museum. Kayaking and water skiing offer great chances to get out on the surrounding water, or you can seek out an adventure with rock climbing and hiking/biking trails nearby.
