Comfortable three bedroom cottage that is ideal for a family get-away. We have a lakefront parcel and dock to accommodate boaters and easy launching of kayaks! The secluded backyard and abundance of trees is also ideal for fall colors.
Our location is also only 3.5 miles from downtown Jamestown and attractions such as the Lucille Ball museum.
The property consists of 2 homes built in the early 1900s. The back house is where we keep the kayaks, grill, fire pit and other outdoor items. Grill your meals from the back house porch while watching boats enter and exit the southern tip of Lake Chautauqua. The back house is included as part of the regular rental.
In the main house, the 2 primary bedrooms each have a queen bed, and the 3rd bedroom has a twin as well as a twin size trundle bed. All 3 bedrooms are on the second floor. The fold out couch and futon in the living room can accommodate additional guests.
The kitchen is very spacious and has plenty of counter space. And the property itself is fairly private with fencing along 2 sides and the creek bordering the other 2.
Kayak rental is also available.
You can make use of our 6 available kayaks throughout the duration of your stay for a $100 fee, which can be added to the booking.
The lakefront property is basically just across the street and maybe 30 yards from the driveway. This is an ideal spot for fishing, boating, relaxing and viewing sunsets from our dock. The water depth at the dock can go down to about 27" though, so it may not be able to accomodate larger boats.
Located in Jamestown, this vacation home is on the waterfront. Lucille Ball Desi Arnaz Museum and Robert H. Jackson Center are cultural highlights, and some of the area's landmarks include Russell E. Diethrick, Jr. Park and Chautauqua Institution. Traveling with kids? Consider Reg Lenna Center for The Arts, or check out an event or a game at Northwest Arena. Take in the nearby slopes with cross-country skiing, snowboarding, and skiing, or check out other outdoor activities such as snowmobiling.
