This comfortable private house is the perfect home base for enjoying the northern winter. Almost entirely renovated in the past two years, the house has 4 bedrooms (including a king (180x200cm), queen (160x200cm), full (120x200cm), and single (90x200cm) beds), and two bathrooms with showers. The tranquil retreat offers a small and cozy tv room and a living room with a sofa bed for extra space. The kitchen is fully equipped and the laundry room has a new washing machine and a dryer. Outside on the patio that surrounds half of the house guests can unwind in the hot tub at night under the starry sky and occasionally the Northern lights, or take a shower while enjoying the view of mountain Spákonufell that reigns over the town. The town itself has all basic amenities and various opportunities for activities in nature. In the vicinity we recommend exploring Kálfshamarsvík (22 km dist.), visiting neighbouring towns Blönduós (22 km dist.) and Sauðárkrókur (53 km dist.) or go skiing in the Tindastóll Ski Area (45 km dist.). The house is ideal for digital nomads, families or small groups of remote workers looking to stay for longer than the average tourist. The house has excellent wifi, but there’s also the possibility of renting shared office space in town, a short walk from the house. Kickback, relax, and enjoy everything Skagaströnd and our house has to offer.
Skagastrond is home to this vacation home. The area's natural beauty can be seen at Kálfshamarsviti and Spákonufell, while Museum of Prophecies and Museum of Handicrafts are cultural highlights. Sea Ice Exhibition Centre and Grettislaug are also worth visiting.
