A new security system looks out onto the grounds and street beyond. No cameras see the house or lanai.
The house has an unusual configuration. The back two bedrooms, each with their own bathroom and A/C, are accessed from the covered lanai, and therefore have their own entrances. Tweens and teenagers love it, but it might be inappropriate for small children. We have an unfenced pond so you have to keep an eye on them. Nevertheless we have hosted many.

Located on the beach, this vacation home is in Keaukaha, a neighborhood in Hilo. Wailuku River State Park and Kaumana Springs Wilderness reflect the area's natural beauty and area attractions include Panaewa Rainforest Zoo and Wailoa Art Center. Pacific Tsunami Museum and East Hawaii Cultural Center are also worth visiting. Jet skiing and kayaking offer great chances to get out on the surrounding water, or you can seek out an adventure with mountain biking and hiking/biking trails nearby.
