This is an historic 1930s mansion updated with modern amenities including A/C, high speed internet, and Netflix television. You will have one of the three private suites located on the top level of the home. Each room has a king bed with a private bath between.
There is access to the full communal kitchen and other shared common areas including porches, living room, dining room, and game/tea room. We are across the street from Carlsmith Beach Park, the sandiest beach on this side of the island.
Located near the beach, this lodge is in Keaukaha, a neighborhood in Hilo. Hilo Art Museum and Wailoa Center are cultural highlights, and some of the area's attractions include Panaewa Rainforest Zoo and Pacific Tsunami Museum. Mokupapapa Discovery Center and University of Hawaii at Hilo Botanical Gardens are also worth visiting.
