Ajaz Rashid,DVM - HIGHTSTOWN, NJ

Ever since Dr. Ajaz Rashid was a child, he dreamed of spending his career caring for animals. Visiting the zoo was his passion, and as you can see pictured here, many of his dreams were fulfilled!

After graduating veterinary school, Dr. Rashid worked in many leading positions. He managed a government veterinary hospital, was head veterinarian at another hospital, and was aspired to work in wildlife. Dr. Rashid, through very tough competition, was selected to work in wildlife, where he quickly became a very famous veterinarian in the wildlife department. He was the first veterinarian in the history of Asia to breed Royal Bengal Tigers in zoo captivity, and also has many other fun stories of his time at the zoo!

After coming to the USA, Dr. Rashid received his ecfvg certificate through study at the University of Missouri, Columbia USA. Dr. Rashid worked in a multinational company in the USA as an associate veterinarian, where in the short time of six months, was promoted to cheif of staff and partner doctor. Dr. Rashid worked as a relief doctor in the Crown Veterinary Specialists, NJ, and the Humane Society.

Dr. Rashid continues to volunteer in his town of Swedesboro, NJ, offering senior citizens quality and free pet care one day each month in their homes.

In October 2013 , Dr. Rashid opened a new facility in East Windsor, NJ called East Windsor Animal Hospital. All the latest in-house diagnostic digital dental x-ray and digital radiography was installed. He continues to use his vast knowledge and expertise to benefit our communities pets.

Dr. Rashid now has 25 years of experience in veterinary medicine, and surgery . He frequently performs many cosmetic procedures, complicated soft tissue surgery, and orthopedic surgery unlike many other general practice veterinarians in the area. Dr. Rashid is also the first veterinarian in the area to introduce Vet Stem Cell Therapy, to give new hope to our older furry friends.
