We are the Shoemakers and we welcome you to our private, peaceful Tranquility Cottage (FAST INTERNET). Born in 1938, updated in 2020 with 3 BR & 2 full baths. Privately tucked away in plain sight, central to High Point, HPU, HP Furniture Market, HP Med Ctr, Jamestown, Greensboro, Winston-Salem & PTI Airport.

Quietude Place & Serenity Studio are about 100 feet away & groups can rent all 3.

About Tranquility Cottage:

Built in 1938, lovingly remodeled in 2020, we aimed to save the character and feel of yesteryear while adding todays modern conveniences. Conveniently located minutes from downtown High Point, HPU, HP Furniture Market, downtown Jamestown and Piedmont Triad International Airport. We also own and rent out two additional properties about 100 feet away, Quietude Place [a 2 bed, 1 bath (sleeps 2-4)] and Serenity Studio. We welcome groups to rent all 3 locations and for gathering in the common courtyard. Experience privacy from the noise, lights, traffic & neighborhood while enjoying private time with your friends & family.

A perfect place to relax and unwind any season you’re in the Triad. Surrounded by restaurants, parks, museums, theaters & shopping of all kinds.

Great Room:
The delightful great room invites you to take in some sunshine while reading your favorite book, watching your favorite shows stream on the Smart TV while hanging out with your friends & family gathered around the fireplace.
Comfortable seating will easily accommodate your family & friends.
Dedicated office area for work.
Or, stroll over to the kitchen to create tasteful treats?..

Kitchen:
New countertops, updated appliances and ready for friends & family. Stocked up with all necessary items to prepare scrumptious meals for those you love.
Coffee bar including a single serve and conventional grounds coffee maker. There’s an assortment of coffee pods, grounds, coffee creamer assortment, sugar and creamer.
When the smells have filled the air and the menu is prepared, head to the dining room to enjoy.

Dining table for up to 8 to dine.

Bedrooms:
3 bedrooms, ( the den sofa pulls out to make an extra full size bed).
Main level Primary/Master bedroom invites you to relax in queen sized comfort. Or you can unwind with a movie on the Smart TV.
Primary bedroom walk-thru closet has a child’s Pack-N-Play.
The two upstairs bedrooms separated by the upstairs full bath are open to one another at the top of the stairs.
Each of the two second floor bedrooms have a full size bed, a dedicated work area/desk (w/HSI), dresser, closet & Smart TV.

Bathrooms:
There’s one newly updated full bath on the main level connecting the Primary Bedroom and Dining Room.
There’s one newly updated full bath on the second level between the two upstairs bedrooms.
All bathrooms have bar soap, shampoo, conditioner, body wash & hand lotion.
Each bathroom has a hairdryer.

Laundry:
Main floor laundry room has laundry detergent, dryer sheets, an iron and ironing board.

Whole House:
High speed internet & WiFi for your whole crew making fun, play or work a breeze. Login to your personal streaming channels to watch any of the Smart TV’s.

Peaceful Outdoor Patio:
Table and 4 chairs offer great views and the perfect place to start your morning with a coffee/beverage of choice, chat with a friend over lunch or end your day with that special someone by moonlight.

Follow signs for Tranquility Cottage up to the front stairs. Entry is through the front door by way of 24/7 access using the digital keypad and welcomes you into the great room. Enabling fast, easy and trouble free check-in and check-out.

There’s an outdoor patio at the back right corner just behind the dining room where you can relax and enjoy a meal or celebrate the day while enjoying a cup of coffee or your favorite beverage. There’s also a side entry to the kitchen that can be opened from the inside once you’re all settled in.

If you have questions or need something related to the property throughout your stay someone will be available to respond and share solutions. Enjoy your tranquility while relaxing in the comfort of knowing we’re here to help you make the most of your stay.

This property is not in a neighborhood and it’s the perfect place to come and connect or to completely disconnect while you’re visiting the Triad.

Though you may see neighbors from afar, they will not be right under you and you’ll have the freedom of peaceful, quiet uninterrupted surroundings. It is peacefully nestled among wooded surroundings for you to enjoy and absorb throughout your stay.

It’s close to all varieties of restaurants, groceries and convenience stores. It’s minutes from Jamestown downtown, HP downtown, HPU, Furniture Market, parks and all sorts of entertainment and shopping. There’s also local flair and flavor at many of the family owned shops and beautiques. You haven’t experienced local until you’ve experienced Jamestown less than a mile away. Smoked BBQ to Thai, seafood, chicken and steaks there are restaurants and spirits to suit everyone’s tastes. Make your trip special with an event at local hairdressers, nail salons, spa’s, dress shops or suit/tuxedo shops for preparing that evening out on the town or dressing comfy casual.

Access is from the main road (Greensboro Rd) and there is off street parking.

There’s plenty of space for parking although there may be an additional fee.

Paradise is in the city limits but no one knows it’s there. It’s the place that’s hidden in plain site and everyone that comes raves about:
The atmosphere
Lack of noise
It sits silent, alone among the trees with commercial businesses and neighborhoods all around.

Fireplace is for ambience and appearance only and must not be used.

Our driveway leads to this dwelling and to 2 other dwellings. Parking for 2 vehicles is on the concrete pad in front of the dwelling. If you have more than 2 vehicles there’s room for several more at the end of the driveway. Please keep the driveway open for other cars to pass at all times.

Guests are subject to additional cleaning fees if excessive cleaning is required.

Cameras are located on all 4 sides of the home, please drive with caution on the driveway as though your children are playing. Site Speed Limit is 10 MPH.

Although this is a private location, please keep Quiet Hours between 10:00 PM and 8:00 AM. This is not a place for parties.

High Point is home to this apartment. Mendenhall Homeplace and World's Largest Highboy Dresser are local landmarks, and travelers looking to shop may want to visit Oak Hollow Mall and Southwood Square. Check out an event or a game at First Horizon Coliseum, and consider making time for Wet 'n Wild Emerald Pointe Water Park, a top attraction not to be missed.
