Spend the day on Lake Chatuge with a boat or personal watercraft rental from a local marina (contact us for a recommendation) or bring your own (please note, no trailers can enter the neighborhood). On the GA side, take a 30-minute drive to a waterfall hike via the High Shoals Falls Trail or make the 35-minute drive to Alpine Helen, GA for a taste of Bavaria in the Blue Ridge Mountains. Want to immerse yourself in nature in the Nantahala National Forest? Bring your mountain bikes and ride the first-class trails at Jackrabbit Mountain (also great for hiking and dog-friendly) just a 20-minute drive from the property. Hungry and thirsty after a day of exploration? Located in Hiawassee, this vacation home is near a water park and on the waterfront. The area's natural beauty can be seen at Chatuge Lake and Chattahoochee National Forest. Georgia Mountain Fairgrounds and Hamilton Gardens are also worth visiting. Jet skiing and kayaking offer great chances to get out on the surrounding water, or you can seek out an adventure with cycling and hiking/biking trails nearby.
