Located only 60 miles from D.C. through either Leesburg or Frederick, and 3 miles from the center of historic Harpers’ Ferry. Once there, you have the option to stay and enjoy one of America’s great rivers or explore the beauty and history of the Eastern Appalachian Mountains and Shenandoah Valley. Just outside of your door is direct Potomac River access where you can fish, canoe, kayak, just float on the River, or enjoy a book or glass of wine on the deck. You are only minutes from ziplining, river riders float put in and whitewater rafting, biking on the towpath or the winding West Virginia farm roads, or hiking on the Appalachian Trail. Feeling like a little more exploring, you are centrally located within 20-25 minutes of Frederick, Berkley Springs, and historic Shepherdstown, which means you equally close to the famous Antietam battlefield (and an easy drive from there to Gettysburg), the Virginia Wine Trail, the local college atmosphere around Shephard University, and one of the last weekly horse racing tracks at the Charlestown Races and Casino.
Located in Harpers Ferry, this vacation home is in the mountains and on the waterfront. Restoration Museum and John Brown Museum are cultural highlights, and some of the area's activities can be experienced at Vivo Day Spa and Cress Creek Golf Club. John Brown Wax Museum and Hagerstown Model Railroad Museum at Antietam Station are also worth visiting.
