- House is NOT secluded. Actually most houses on the lake are not.
- This is not a party house / Quiet family-oriented community with quiet hours between 11pm and 8am / Must be respectful of neighbors - no trespassing on other properties / NO fireworks. They are not allowed in Laurel Lane. If community rules are broken or home is damaged security deposit will not be refunded and additional fees may be required for fines or damages.
- Security cameras on premise to protect our investment - We take our home very seriously because it's something we love and do not want to have damaged or abused. If having cameras on the property makes you feel uncomfortable in any way, I would then recommend that you do not rent our home. We want all our renters to have a great time and enjoy their stay. We are very transparent with our criteria and requests to help filter out those that would not be a good fit for our home. Cameras are covering the outside of the home, not inside. We need to make sure that the property is secured and from unwanted guests and we hope this level of transparency shows what type of home owners we are.
- MAX 6 people since the home have a septic tank (which is now a holding tank) / FIRM on this number, no exceptions and this includes day visitors.
- Long showers are to be done in outside shower because of the holding tank. Hot water is provided.
- No linens, towels, comforters or sheets being provided. Due to Covid/changed for future rentals. Bring your own.

NOTE: If you are interested in the home, send an email of when you want to book versus booking so we can confirm everyone is on the same page. If we are in the process of vetting you, and someone asks for the same time during that process we honor those who came to us first. We don't want to decline the booking and get penalized for it as part of the process. Pick the dates, send the email and we have a separate email that we send to confirm the information before accepting any bookings.
Now that we got that out of the way, if the above is ok with you, then please keep reading. If not, please don't rent this house. Sorry to be blunt but we had one renter that seemed to not understand any of the items and gave our only negative review.

This home is for our family to cherish and spend time together. While we are very happy and excited to share this opportunity with others, we wish to rent only to those whose appreciate the hard work that went into revitalizing our lake front home and respect the property of others.

OVERVIEW OF THE HOME:

The title says it all. It's a modern cabin, right on the lake. My wife and I believe this lake house have made us remember that we need to have family time together, especially with all the hustle and bustle of sports, school and work. We invite you to view the photos here on this profile and imagine your family being here to share that warmth and magic that the lake provides. We hope that after you have stayed here, you and your family will look at this cabin as your annual getaway to rest, relax and enjoy time together.

The entire home was gutted and renovated from top to bottom and completed in fall of 2017 to allow us, family/friends, and others to create memories of being together at the lake.

This home features a modern kitchen which includes a quartz counter top, farm house sink, and stainless-steel appliances with all the pots, pans, and utensils you need to cook for your family.

The main living area has great views which are right next to the kitchen, a ceiling fan, AC wall unit. Just sit and boat watch right from the couch or rocking chairs. Through the sliding glass doors, you lead to an oversize 24' x 16' wrapped around deck which features a cable railing system which overlooks the lake views and the private dock area. On the deck we have plenty of outside seating, a grill and an outside heater for your enjoyment. As mentioned, there is a cable railing system installed to not obstruct the views of the lake.

Who is going to call dibs on the first bedroom that is a queen and has the lake view? Wake up to the sunrise and be able to view the lake from the best seat in the house, your bed. You also have a flat screen TV in the corner where you can just lay back and watch the TV and the lake at the same time. There is a AC wall unit to keep you cool when it's hot and baseboard heating to warm you up.

The other bedroom is not too shabby either, where it's a queen with plenty of closet space and ship lap ceiling. It's also equipped with a flat screen TV as well for your entertainment. Also has its own AC wall unit and baseboard heating.

The loft area is featured with a cable railing system for that modern look, but still has that cabin feel. The loft has two single beds with an electric fireplace between them so the kids (or adults!) can have their own little camp out at the lake.

When you go downstairs, you have another separate living space with a flat screen TV, couch and love seat with additional seating which has views of the lake.

The downstairs sliding glass doors open to a separate covered patio under the deck where you can sit and continue to enjoy the lake view and activities. It includes a propane fire pit and also a 4-person hot tub.

The gradual stone walkway leads you to a 14' x 12' patio area by the water which has seating and a fire pit for those evenings around the fire and eating smores. A private swimming dock awaits you and your family to enjoy swimming, fishing and boating (May-Oct).

After all the activities the lake can provide and swimming in the lake, enjoy a hot shower outside (May-Oct). Installed an outside shower for everyone's convenience and enjoyment to be closer to nature and as added experience over other rentals.

- Tissues, napkins, paper towels and toilet paper are stocked at the house
- Cell coverage is spotty. Can use Wi-Fi to help, but it's not a strong area for calls. Plan accordingly
- Full Kitchen utensils including pots, and pans are included.
- Security cameras are on the premises to monitor the property's entry ways and for unwanted guests.

Located in Greentown, this vacation home is near a water park and on the waterfront. Lake Wallenpaupack and Sterling Marina are worth checking out if an activity is on the agenda, while those looking for area attractions can visit Claws 'N' Paws Wild Animal Park and Lake Township Park. Soarin Eagle Rail Tours and Costa's Family Fun Park are also worth visiting. Jet skiing and water skiing offer great chances to get out on the surrounding water, or you can seek out an adventure with hiking and mountain biking nearby.
