The modern yet cozy house features a balcony overlooking the water, and an open floor plan downstairs allows for maximum water views from the kitchen, dining, and living areas thanks to an expanse of windows across the entire first floor. Two upstairs bedrooms also offer lookouts onto the ever-changing natural vista.
Relax in a rocking chair with a book or spend the day in the fresh air by taking advantage of the private dock just 50 feet away from the house. Swim at high tide or embark on a nature walk on the firm mud flats during low tide, when tidepools capture sea creatures that delight all ages. When hunger strikes, fire up the gas grill and gather around the table on the patio, which also features water views, or cook in the fully equipped kitchen outfitted with a gas stove and basic pantry supplies.
The off-the-beaten-path home makes for a serene and peaceful getaway, yet there are many excursions that might tempt you to leave the house. A visit to this area is incomplete without a trip to nearby Rockport for an afternoon of shopping or a jaunt into downtown Gloucester to experience the bustling harbor, shops, and the Fisherman’s Memorial. Whale watches, fishing expeditions, the Hammond Castle Museum, and Dogtown Common are a few other unique local activities. The location also provides easy access to Boston, Salem, and Newburyport.
The house offers two bedrooms with queen-size beds, water views, and balcony access, plus a bedroom with two twin beds on the top floor. There is also a laundry area and large bathroom on the top floor that the three upstairs bedrooms share. Downstairs, there’s a bedroom with a full-size bed located next to the bathroom, and two couches in the living room open to queen-size beds. The downstairs shower features a seat and grab bars.
