Surfside Jetty Park, Swan Lake and Brazoria National Wildlife Refuge are nearby for fishing, bird watching and hiking. Lake Jackson is about 10 miles away with grocery stores and shopping; Galveston is roughly a 30-minute scenic drive along the coast.
