The BNWR offers an auto tour featuring close encounters with alligators and migratory birds; boating (including dedicated areas for canoes, kayaks, and boats with non-combustion engines), hunting (two public waterfowl hunting areas open for waterfowl hunting; and four separate units for dove and pigeon hunting); hiking trails, butterfly garden, and saltwater and freshwater fishing areas. Plus, you'll have your own private boat dock on the canal with access to Bastrop Bayou, Bastrop Bay, and Galveston Bay. Bring your boat!

Other nearby attractions include Sea Center Texas (marine aquarium and fish hatchery and education center), deep sea fishing, the beaches at Surfside and Galveston, Crocodile Encounter Park, as well as many attractions nearby in the Greater Houston area. A nearby lot is available for guest use with a dock and canal/bayou access. There are also three nearby boat launches.

Spend fun-filled days exploring the area, then retreat home to unwind on the deck. Ample seating and large umbrellas offer plenty of shaded spots to enjoy a refreshing vacation drink. The covered carport provides even more outdoor space and includes a grill for home cookouts.

Inside your retreat, an inviting open floor plan features a living area with modern-chic decor and vibrant pops of color. Two sofa beds create additional sleeping space. Damage waiver: The total cost of your reservation for this Property includes a nightly damage waiver fee, plus tax if applicable (the “Damage Waiver”). (A discount may be applied for stays of 28 nights or longer, if permitted.) The Damage Waiver covers you for up to $3,000 of accidental damage to the Property or its contents (such as furniture, fixtures, and appliances) as long as you report the incident to the host prior to checking out. The Damage Waiver fee eliminates the need for a traditional security deposit.
