-This top floor south end unit is without distracting overhead noise (TV's, moving furniture, footsteps, etc). There is privacy on this side because this building was built close to the water and farther from the road keeping you away from traffic noise.

-The beach has private access away from public access beaches, and is without crowds. Captain's House sits on the quiet residential north end of Amelia Island away from the large crowded apartment complexes and hotels, yet it is less than 2 miles from the historic old town full of restaurants and shopping.

-The ocean views are unobstructed from every window, even while sitting or lying down in bed, because it is closer to the ocean than neighboring homes. Its southeast location allows in sunlight to fill 1 to 2 windows in each room from sunup to sundown (as opposed to north or middle units) from 1 to 2 windows in each room and lots of cross breezes and sounds of the pounding ocean.

-The breezy Beachfront Deck that overlooks the ocean is the first place you will go when you enter the condo. It has no view obstructing sidewalls or overhanging roof (which would block your sky views of the moon, stars, and swooping pelicans). You will see 270 degree panoramic views of space-X launches (check NASA website for launch schedule), low flying naval helicopters and hang-gliders. Use our binoculars to watch for turtles, submarines which depart from the north end of the island, dolphins, whales (Right Whales), surfers, kite boarders and more. Rest on comfy teak cushioned steamer chaise lounges, lay back and watch the stars as you listen to the sea. There are bistro tables for morning coffee, reading, or to enjoy the sunrises. An outdoor dining table for 4 lies at the edge of the deck, perfect for candle or moon lit dinners. You will have a hard time finding a reason to leave this “room”.

-The furnished Harbor Side deck is perfect with acacia wood tropical seating for 5 for sunset cocktails.

-The open concept Kitchen in this newly remodeled condo with Brazilian hardwood natural cherry floors throughout is complete with a stunning 'Ocean” countertop created by a local artist made with epoxy resin “waves”. For preparing locally caught fresh fish, baking and preparing sunset cocktails, the pots, pans, dishes, utensils, cookbooks and cocktail glassware supplies are plentiful and at your disposal. The bar has seating for 2 facing the ocean.

-The Living room seating is very comfortable, deep, comfy, down, soft, and relaxing with lots of pillows and places to put your feet up. The 2 couches are large and comfy enough for nice afternoon naps for everyone.

-The Master bedroom faces the ocean and dunes with an attached bath. There is a new Tommy Bahama king bed with West Indies Décor, flat screen TV, DVD player, luggage rack, and an office area. No need to get up from your bed to see the ocean with 2 windows.
