Peppertree Ridge Dome at Splitrock Farm & Retreat
Perched at the eastern edge of Splitrock Valley with sweeping views of Mt. Palomar and Fallbrook’s rolling farmland, Peppertree Ridge offers a serene, off-grid glamping experience in a thoughtfully designed geodome.
Set on 101 acres, Splitrock Farm & Retreat features expansive vistas stretching toward the Pacific and Big Bear, with miles of walking and biking trails—including the on-site Splitrock 5K. Just three miles from camp, the Santa Margarita River Trail Preserve—voted the #1 trail in San Diego County—winds along a wild, free-flowing river and supports golden beavers, steelhead trout, and a wide array of native flora and fauna.
Inside the Peppertree Ridge dome, you’ll find:
Queen-Sized Bed – With soft linens for restful nights
Seating Area with a View – Two chairs perfectly placed for reading or nature-watching
Bar Table with Two Chairs – Ideal for casual meals or journaling
Wood Stove – Keeps the dome cozy on cooler evenings
Kitchenette – Includes dishes, a portable grill, basic cooking utensils, and a French press
Solar-Powered Lighting – Ambiance at night
Please note the property operates fully off-grid using solar power and battery storage. Power is limited and should be used mindfully throughout your stay. High-draw appliances such as hair dryers, heaters, and AC units will significantly reduce battery life and may not be sustainable, especially in the evenings once solar charging stops. A solar-powered system provides ambient light; we recommend bringing portable chargers for any electronics. Guests may also charge their electronics in the communal area.

Guests are also welcome at the Oak Grove Communal Area, which features outdoor games, fire pits, and a shared kitchen space. On weekends, the Camp Shop, located in the Oak Grove shipping container, offers firewood, snacks, and essentials.
Nearby adventures include the Santa Margarita River Trail, the ecological wonderland of Santa Rosa Plateau, and wine tasting in the hills of Temecula — just a short drive away.
Located in Fallbrook, this campground is in a rural area. Santa Rosa Plateau Ecological Reserve and Tenaja Falls reflect the area's natural beauty and area attractions include Grand Tradition Estate and Gardens and Mulligan Family Fun Center. Relax and indulge in the area's winery tours and health/beauty spa, or seek out an adventure with hiking/biking trails and horse riding nearby.
