This property is a mid-century modern home built in the 1960's that has been renovated (interior and exterior) from top to bottom over the past eight months and is located in a quiet residential neighborhood directly across the street from the main hospital in the area and within a mile of the exact center of downtown Fairhope. A six-passenger golf cart is included for your 5 minute travel to all the downtown activities. In addition to the three bedrooms, two bathrooms, and office area, the living space is open with floor to ceiling sliding glass doors. The kitchen is stocked with every item necessary for gourmet cooks (including spices) giving dinner parties; the bedrooms each have a television, king size bed and high quality linens; the bathrooms are stocked with all items for personal hygiene, plush towels and even color coordinated toilet tissue, and the office is move-in ready for work at home. Full laundry room with washer, electric dryer, and adequate storage. Quality art is prominently displayed in all rooms (your hosts are art collectors, as well as arts of note). Among the selected pieces are works by Phill Evans, Michael Banks, Nall, Bruce Larson, Tres Taylor, Bruce Beasley, et.al. Indoor living plants are abundant to keeping the air quality pristine (along with a certified space technology air scrubber attached to the HVAC system). All the furniture was hand-picked to reflect a midcentury vibe and the kitchen cabinetry was made on site utilizing locally lumbered and milled cedar.
The exterior landscaping is totally fenced with low voltage lighting and was professionally designed with 52 different botanical plant species (including a butterfly/bee garden). To conserve water the plants are on a drip irrigation system with timers. The backyard is almost totally shaded from the canopy of huge, lighted, beautiful heritage live oak tree (third largest in all of Fairhope proper). The two driveways provide parking for six cars. We include an electric vehicle charging station and a transfer switch for a generator in case of power outages. The side yard includes a full size, lighted, bocce/petanque/corn hole court with spectator seating and giant judge's chair. There are large covered decks and lanai (front and back) to provide relaxation and includes: fully equipped outdoor kitchen; hot tub/spa to die in; small sip n' dip pool with sheer descent, lighted waterfall; four burner bbq grill; propane fueled pizza oven that heats to 900 degrees in five minutes; and commercial type ice cream maker. We also include tree swings, porch swings, walking path, outdoor sculptures, water features, transfer switch for generator in case of power outages, and a fire pit for those chilly winter days.
