Welcome to Xanadu East! It's gorgeous! We are an oceanfront duplex with amazing views, great for families with kids or adults looking for an adult only get-away. This is a light, bright and airy oceanfront duplex with incredible sweeping ocean views. Two oceanfront and two ocean view bedrooms help you feel at home with your friends and family in the tastefully decorated beach home. Ceiling fans help spread the ocean breezes to every room. Two large decks and a few steps to the wide expanse of beach frontage enhance every moment at Xanadu. Watch the dolphins lazily pass by, often taking time to frolic and fish in the surf. Pelicans and seabirds galore. Surf fishing both in and out of season is excellent. Clean your fish and have them for dinner! Do get a license.

o This duplex sits taller and closer to the ocean than its neighbors which makes for amazing views! One can see all the way from Indian Beach to the Point from the top deck. We've discovered that by being closer to the ocean (while not giving up good beach depth) life with kids and especially little ones is just much easier! You can see your kids easily from the deck if you'd like to have a drink or you just take a few steps and you are right on the beach with them. There is a large outdoor shower with hot and cold water outside for cleaning off all the sand that seems to get everywhere!

o We attempt to maintain Xanadu East in the best condition we can provide each season. We have personal artwork, all the pictures are taken by our family to showcase our love of the Crystal Coast and the beauty we find. The updated decks flow off the living area creating an amazing place to gather with family, friends and beautiful views. 2023 brings new flooring in the bedrooms, new couches and chairs upstairs!

o Two very roomy decks are accessed through the sliders in the ocean front bedrooms. The first floor deck is completely shaded and is equipped with polywood chairs and rockers, foot rests, and side tables. A hammock for your fun and comfort! A picnic table provides easy eating space. The top deck makes for a great place to eat a meal. Also included are polywood chairs and rockers along with a picnic table and umbrella and a couple of chaise lounges. Each deck has an exit gate to keep kids where you need them.

o The second floor includes the living area, kitchen, dining area and a second main bedroom and bathroom. The second floor has a vaulted ceiling with canned lighting and fans with remotes in both the lounging area, the dining area and bedroom. Two sets of sliding doors provide an incredible amount of light to the entire second floor. You can eat in the dining area and your digestion will be aided by the views of the Atlantic Ocean beckoning to you. A large bay window provides additional light.

o For those that want to explore the island, there are plenty of activities away from the beach for everyone in your group. For the active: bicycling (rentals available on island), golf, kayak and boat rentals, mini-golf, golf-carts, amusement park, horseback riding, volleyball, water park, driving range, skating, off-shore fishing, kite-flying. For the sightseer and shopper: There is Morehead City, Beaufort waterfront, Swansboro waterfront shops and antiques, Emerald Isle shops, North Carolina Aquarium and more.

o We provide gates at the top of each outdoor stairway, beach chairs (limited), beach towels, sand toys, beach umbrellas, boogie boards, small baby wading pool (not always available based on prior guest usage), charcoal & gas grill, hammock, 3 picnic tables, deck chairs, rockers, chaises, games, puzzles, books. We supply complimentary toilet paper and paper towels for your arrival. Pack your clothes and leave the rest to us.

o Flat screen TVs in living room area and all bedrooms with Roku TV and YouTubeTV. Undercover parking.

NOTE: There are two exterior security cameras located ground level, one facing the driveway and front stairway, and the other facing the back entrance and stairway.

o Located on the beautiful Crystal Coast of Carteret County, Emerald Isle is located south of Cape Hatteras. WE ARE THE SOUTHERN OUTER BANKS (SOBX) The beach community is family oriented, quiet and never crowded! A short drive will provide plenty of activities for you and your family.

o North Carolina Aquarium at Pine Knolls Shore, Miniature golf, water park, restaurants, Morehead City and Beaufort docks to rent deep-sea fishing boats or take a trip to the Cape Lookout Lighthouse and come away with an incredible supply of shells. Always plenty of beach space for your vacation pleasure. EXQUISITE sunrise and sunsets to begin and end glorious beach days. Quiet strolls along the beach 24/7! Outer Banks Wildlife Shelter within 15 minutes. Hammocks Beach State Park, Bear Island, Harker's Island, Cedar Island, deep sea fishing. (black sea bass, vermilion snapper, amber jack, mahi-mahi, trigger fish et al. Couldn't ask for much more. Plenty of shopping for just about anything a beach lover might want to buy! Food Lion and Publix are conveniently located for those who develop an appetite on the beach.

Located in Emerald Isle, this vacation home is near theme parks and on the beach. Beach Wheels Bike Rental and Emerald Plantation are worth checking out if shopping is on the agenda, while those wishing to experience the area's natural beauty can explore Theodore Roosevelt Natural Area and Hoop Pole Creek Nature Trail. Looking to enjoy an event or a game while in town? See what's happening at Big Rock Stadium or Cougar Stadium. Jet skiing and kayaking offer great chances to get out on the surrounding water, or you can seek out an adventure with horse riding and hiking/biking trails nearby.
