Connosha Cottage is a beautiful mountain getaway with two bedrooms - two queen beds - and two bathrooms. Urban amenities such as wineries and orchards are just a few miles away, but this small private cottage offers a hot tub, coffee bar, and gorgeous new kitchen. Fishing, golf, and hiking/mountain biking trails are all within easy reach.
The space
This cute cottage features a fully remodeled and equipped kitchen and a bright living room with a full sofa bed. In addition, the cottage features a stocked coffee and tea bar for those coffee lovers!
It has a screened-in porch to take in the wooded scenery (and deer!) in the back, or take a step right outside to the open patio and sit in the hot tub!
If you want a family and pet-friendly getaway in apple country, this cottage will be perfect for you.
Guest access
Connosha Cottage is located in the fantastic gated Coosawattee River Resort. The resort features amenities such as a recreation center with an olympic-sized indoor heated pool, two outdoor pools, an exercise room, an arcade, tennis, basketball, putt-putt golf, and several areas where you are welcome to fish.
Each card (2) allows four people access to all amenities listed above.
PLEASE NOTE: Coosawattee is a nearly 6,000-acre resort. Most amenities are within a 20-minute drive to the cottage, so please plan accordingly. Additionally, there is a $30 replacement fee if the amenities card is lost during your stay.
Guests have access to the resort, Connosha Cottage, and the amenities. Access to the cottage includes all rooms (except the owner's closet), porches, and a hot tub.
The cabin comes fully furnished and includes a minimum of the following unless otherwise stated in the listing:
- Fully equipped kitchen: Refrigerator, stove, oven (2), microwave, dishwasher, toaster, dishes, glassware, utensils, cutlery, pots, and pans.
- Linens for each bed, 2-bath towels, 1-hand towel, 1 washcloth per person listed on the guest list, central heat & air, washer/dryer, vacuum, broom and dustpan, mop, cable TV, internet, and griddle grill.
- In addition, we provide a complimentary start-up kit of Toilet Tissue (1 roll per bathroom), Paper Towels (1 roll), Garbage Bags (2 bags), Dishwasher Detergent (2 loads), Laundry Detergent (2 loads), and Dish Washing Soap. Did we mention coffee?
Other things to note
Like most places in the mountains, getting to the cottage does require following a few small roads and a short dirt road that the cottage is on. However, if you are up for an adventure, this will not be a problem! Make sure you adhere to the posted speed limits and watch for deer – you will see a lot during your stay – and you will have no issues.
Well-behaved, house-trained dogs are welcome with prior approval at an additional flat rate of $60 with a 2-dog maximum.
Ellijay is home to this cabin. Engelheim Vineyards and Chateau Meichtry are worth checking out if an activity is on the agenda, while those wishing to experience the area's natural beauty can explore Cohutta Wildlife Management Area and Talona Lake. Gilmer County Fairgrounds and Ellijay Marketplace are also worth visiting.
