Looking for a cozy getaway in the country? The Elkin Country Cottage, nestled in the heart of North Carolina wine country takes you back in time. The completely renovated home boasts all the modern conveniences including high speed WIFI, YouTube TV, Netflix, modern appliances and amenities. Watch the cows graze across the street from the comfort of the warm living area while sipping coffee or a glass of local wine. Snuggle up on the couch with a good book or great company.

We have now added a game room in the garage. Access is available upon request!. The room includes a 3 in 1 game table, electronic basketball game and kids crafts.

Guests can hike the Powerhouse trail to Carter Falls, head into America's Favorite Small Town of Elkin or visit any of the 15 vineyards & wineries within a 15 minute drive.

If you're looking for longer hikes, Stone Mountain State Park is 20 minutes away and the Blue Ridge parkway is 30 minutes. We will gladly provide hiking, dining and vineyard recommendations and itineraries upon request.

You might see or encounter wildlife while on our property or neighborhood, including, but not limited to: deer, raccoon, skunk, opossum, fox, reptiles, many kinds of birds, bees, wasps, mosquitoes, spiders, ants. These creatures reside in nature and we have little control over them.

You will feel as though you are miles away from it all, but just minutes to everything!

Elkin is home to this vacation home. Traphill Historic District and Hutchinson Homestead are local landmarks, and some of the area's activities can be experienced at Menarick Vineyard and Winery and Elkin Creek Vineyard. Take time off to check out the winery tours in the area, or get some fresh air with adventures like mountain biking and hiking/biking trails nearby.
