LOCATION OF CASITA DE BAMBU

Our corner lot is tucked away on a private, dead-end road where you can drive through just to park your car in front of our house. The other entrance/exit is pedestrian only access. This is just 3 blocks away or a 3 minute walk from Ayampe's main beach, in the main part of Ayampe town. Outdoor lights illuminate the yard and can be left on all night (but please do turn off the pool light overnight as it attracts nighttime bugs).

We are located in the heart of Ayampe, on a pedestrian street, (one of the coziest streets in all of town), and just 300 meters from a mini Police Station. ———————————————————————
EL NIÑO WEATHER PHENOMENON (2/20/2024)***** PLEASE READ*****

Please note that Ecuador has been experiencing heavy rains throughout the country as of mid-February 2024. (This is just nature, it is due to “El Niño” natural phenomenon that affects parts of South America every ten years). One of the consequences of this excessive rain has been rivers dragging all types of natural branches down the river and into the sea. This has resulted in natural wooden debris getting washed onto Ayampe’s beach. In other words, access through the sandy part of the beach is quite difficult/impeded with all these branches. There are still beachgoers that very carefully avoid the wooden parts and use the beach anyway (at their own risk). Because this is a NATURAL weather occurrence, it’s unclear how long this will last in Ecuador, but it seems like the Ayampe beach situation may take at least several weeks to clear off. Thankfully, this has not affected the beauty of the town, and our gorgeous property is unaffected by this, so you may still have a wonderful time at the Casita de Bambu, breathing fresh air, enjoying the backyard and the pool :) There is also a beautiful beach at a national park called Los Frailes that many of our guests always enjoy visiting, (a 30 min drive away), and that Los Frailes beach has (thus far) not been affected by the El Niño river washout.
DISCOUNTS

Stay 1 month = 3 times a week we will provide light cleaning; and one time a week we will provide fresh sheets/towels.

Stay at least 10 days = 2 times every 10 days we will provide light cleaning.

We may be able to offer you an additional discount for stays longer than 10 days but shorter than 1 month. Just shoot us a message :)
ANY RESERVATION IS FOR MAX 6 GUESTS, REGARDLESS OF AGES. (7th GUEST MAY BE ACCEPTED WITH EXTRA NIGHTLY CHARGE)

Please note that we "generally" only accept 6 guests of any ages. Our Casita is not designed for more than 6 persons as the rooms are comfortable but small. (For an additional fee of $50 a night, we may allow a 7th guest, if the 7th guest is OK with sleeping on the sofa bed or sharing the master bed.). No more than 7 guests are allowed.

ONLY RESERVATION GUESTS MAY ACCESS THE CASITA DE BAMBU

Only the reservation guests may use the Casita De Bambu, including the outdoor area and pool. No weddings or similar events are allowed.
POOL
--------
Please note that like nearly all pools in the Ayampe and Manabi coastal region, our pool is NOT heated. It is a cute pool with a nice little wading/tanning area, perfect for children and adults to hang out. Thank you so much for your understanding :)
ADDITIONAL SERVICES

We have staff come 2-3 times a week to rake the yard, water the plants, and to clean the pool.

We can also help you coordinate cooking, cleaning, and laundry services with our trusted contacts of housekeepers/cooks.
PARKING
------------
We provide ONE parking spot on the premises that will comfortably fit 1 car. Any additional cars must be parked on Ayampe’s public street, which is about 50 meters away.

Located in Salango, this vacation home is in the city center and on a river. Olon Beach and Machalilla National Park reflect the area's natural beauty and area attractions include Islote Pelado and Valdivia Aquarium.
