Tucked away on the peaceful “Little Kowaliga” side of the lake near Real Island in Eclectic, Alabama, this fantastic vacation spot has everything you need for a memorable family retreat. Set on a spacious 1-1/4 acre lot, with 6 bedrooms, including 5 king bedrooms, and 4 bathrooms spread over 2 levels, there’s plenty of room for everyone to relax and enjoy the lake.
Kick back on the large covered porch with comfy swing beds and take in the beautiful Lake Martin views. The huge fenced-in yard is perfect for outdoor games, relaxing by the fire pit, and enjoying the shade from the big trees on warm summer days.
Head down to the private dock for swimming, boating, or fishing, and spend evenings gathered around the cozy fire pit. Enjoy the lake with the provided paddle boards, kayaks, or the giant floating lilypad that everyone loves. After a day on the lake, enjoy the new private outdoor shower with hot and cold water. It’s a private, spa-like space tucked among the trees—perfect for showering outdoors by day or under the stars at night.
Inside, you’ll find over 3,000 square feet of comfortable living space. The main floor has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, including a spacious master suite with a king bed and ensuite bathroom, plus a second bedroom that works well for guests with mobility concerns.
Upstairs, you’ll find another king bedroom with an ensuite bathroom, 2 additional king bedrooms, and a bunkroom with 4 twin beds—perfect for the kids. There’s also a full-size laundry room to make your stay even easier.
You’re close to favorite Lake Martin spots like The Landing, Kowaliga Restaurant, and The Social, all just a short boat ride away. Real Island is the nearest marina for launching your boat or renting a pontoon. For groceries, Piggly Wiggly in Eclectic is just a 15-minute drive and has great prices and a good selection. The home is also only 45 miles from Auburn, making it a convenient option for Auburn football weekends while still enjoying a peaceful lakefront setting.
For the best Lake Martin experience, we recommend staying at least 5 nights when possible. Weekdays on the lake are often quieter, giving you more room to enjoy the dock, water, paddle boards, kayaks, and floating lilypad. Weekends bring more activity around the lake, with more restaurants, marinas, and local spots open, so a longer stay gives you the best of both.
