Tucked along a scenic stretch between the ferry landing and the charming village of Eastsound, the home feels private and peaceful while remaining close to restaurants, shops, and island adventures. Clean, modern finishes blend with cozy Pacific Northwest touches to create a calm, welcoming atmosphere. From the moment you arrive, the space feels open, restful, and made for unwinding.
Each of the three thoughtfully designed bedrooms features its own bathroom, offering flexible accommodations for families, couples, or small groups who want both comfort and privacy. Shared spaces invite connection—whether it’s movie nights, board games, or simply curling up with a good book.
Outside, a private hot tub and cabana turn evenings into a soak-and-stargaze ritual. Unwind after a day exploring Moran State Park or paddling the Salish Sea, surrounded by fresh ocean air and rustling trees. With minimal light pollution, the night sky becomes part of the experience. Prefer to stay dry? The expansive back deck offers loungers and a large outdoor sofa, perfect for relaxing afternoons. For a little friendly competition, enjoy ping pong on the front porch or set up a game of cornhole on the lawn.
Bring the whole crew—dogs included. From the off-leash dog park in town to scenic shoreline walks and pine-lined trails, Orcas Island offers plenty of ways to explore together. Then return to Shore Thing Retreat, where both people and pups can settle in and relax.

Dogs must be leashed when outside and should not be left in the home alone.
If you are bringing a dog on your trip, the pet fee is already included in your quote when selecting ‘Yes’ to pets. If you would like to add more dogs, please contact us.
Parking notes: There is free parking available for 3 vehicles.
Damage waiver: The total cost of your reservation for this Property includes a nightly damage waiver fee, plus tax if applicable (the “Damage Waiver”). (A discount may be applied for stays of 28 nights or longer, if permitted.) The Damage Waiver covers you for up to $3,000 of accidental damage to the Property or its contents (such as furniture, fixtures, and appliances) as long as you report the incident to the host prior to checking out. The Damage Waiver fee eliminates the need for a traditional security deposit.

Due to local laws or HOA requirements, guests must be at least 21 years of age to book. Guests under 21 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian for the duration of the reservation.
Located in Eastsound, this vacation home is in a rural area and near the beach. Orcas Island Historical Museum and Rosario Mansion Museum are cultural highlights, and some of the area's attractions include Labyrinth and Darvill's Bookstore.
