The home has a 360' wrap around porch, with the back porch facing the Hermosa cliffs to the west. Upon entering the home, you'll be taken by the massive wood Cathedral Ceilings, open floor plan, and wall of windows to the south. The front porch is screened during the summer, and an arctic entry during the winter months. Views to the South, East, and West are of mountains and forest.
Our 1800 Sq ft, 3 bedroom, 3-1/2 bath, custom home was finished the spring of 2020. It offers privacy and seclusion as it sits at the very end of the road with a 132 acre parcel to the north that you are free to access. It is 2 miles from Purgatory ski resort and 25 miles from downtown Durango.
The kitchen is outfitted with stainless steel appliances and granite countertops. The main living space features a 60 inch flat screen OLED Smart TV with Sonos Surround Sound System and wood burning fireplace (wood provided).
The master bedroom is on the main floor and has a king size bed with En-Suite Bath. One of the upstairs bedrooms also has a king, the other a queen.
Located in Columbine Lake, a neighborhood in Durango, this vacation home is in a rural area and in the mountains. Silverton Railroad Depot and Silverton Museum are cultural highlights, and some of the area's activities can be experienced at Purgatory Resort and Cliffs at Tamarron. Take in the nearby slopes with cross-country skiing and snowboarding, or check out other outdoor activities such as snowmobiling and ice skating.
