Stay and relax on this tranquil 20 acre apple farm with views of the La Plata mountains and sounds of our natural springs. Our two bedroom one bath original farmhouse apartment has been updated with all the modern amenities.
Sit and relax on the front porch watching the horses graze and the red tail hawks fly overhead. Our resident chickens offer fresh eggs and feel free to pick all the apples you can eat. We are a 15 minute drive to town (10 to Walmart) Come enjoy the magic at La Granja.
The Space:
Casita Bonita is an 800 sq. ft 2 bedroom/1 bath remodeled farmhouse on 20 acres. Your front porch offers views of the La Plata mountains and south toward New Mexico. This unique property has 8 ponds, 150 plus apple trees, horses, chickens, flowers, abundant trees and vegetable gardens.
If you are looking for a relaxing quiet place to stay while exploring Durango it doesn’t get any better than this.

PETS are welcome with advanced approval. There is a pet fee beginning at $50 per stay. Please inquire prior to booking.

Casita Bonita is completely private with your own entrance. The apartment does share a common wall with the main house. The parking space is 75 feet to the front door. We are happy to help with luggage.
Renters are free to explore the apple orchards, fields, chickens and the amazing front yard. There are few places that we to keep private for own enjoyment (Little signs will guide you). We are happy to share this amazing magical space with those who respect our farm.

Other things to note
PLEASE READ:
-La Granja is a small working farm and is on the outskirts of town.
-Dogs are allowed with prior approval. Please inquire before booking. There is a pet fee. Pets must be on leash or voice command. We have pets and livestock on the property (cats, chickens, dogs and horses). Chasing of livestock and our pets will not be tolerated.
-There is limited outdoor lighting and it can be very dark. Stargazing is a bonus.
-The apartment is adjacent to the main house so there is a shared wall.
-PARKING is about 75 feet to the DOOR.
-Expect uneven driveways, pathways, and other ground surfaces. You could trip.
-Expect irrigation canals, ponds and ditches with unstable surrounds.
-No more than two vehicles allowed.

Durango is home to this farm stay. Durango and Silverton Narrow Gauge Railroad and Durango Arts Center are cultural highlights, and some of the area's attractions include Durango Discovery Museum and Historic Tram Park.
