Looking to get away from the fast paced life? This cozy 2-story, 2 bedroom, 1.5 bath, rustic log cabin, sits on 4 acres tucked against the hills just outside Indiana's Hoosier National Forest in the Ohio River Valley. Relax on the deck or watch the fire dance in the outdoor fire pit. Calm, tranquil, SERENITY!
Our cabin sits right outside the Hoosier National Forest which offers 84 miles of hiking trails with 50 miles of them open to horses. From the cabin you are less than a 10 minute walk from the Mogan Ridge East trail head and a short drive to many others.
If you enjoy fishing and boating, you are 5 minutes from the Derby Boat Ramp giving you easy access to the Ohio River. The most common fish caught are bluegill, redear, bass, and catfish.
There is a small park located in Derby just a few minutes down the road. There are basketball courts, swings, slides, a shelter house, and a beautiful view for the parents while watching the children play.
Located in Derby, this cabin is in a rural area. Huffman's Mill Bridge and Christ of the Ohio are local landmarks, and the area's natural beauty can be seen at Ohio River and Ohio River Valley. Motor boating and fishing offer great chances to get out on the surrounding water, or you can seek out an adventure with hunting and cave exploring nearby.
