From the three story decks, enjoy a spectacular 120 degree long view of Amicalola Falls, Mount Yonah in Lumpkin, County, and other mountains up to 50 miles away on a clear day. Located in northern Dawson County, this house is approximately 6 miles from Amicalola Falls State Park and Burt’s Pumpkin Farm. Located near Mount Oglethorpe which was the early original Southern Terminus of The Appalachian Trail. Nearby towns include Dahlonega, site of the nation’s first gold rush; Jasper, located in the Georgia Marble Belt; Ellijay, the apple capital of Georgia; Blue Ridge, with its scenic railway, and Dawsonville, famous for racing drivers and moonshine. Attractions include rafting on the Chestatee, Etowah, Amicalola, and Coosawattee rivers, hunting and fishing, biking, and hiking. Situated on Burnt Mountain this is a favorite site for bicyclist to enjoy the challenges of the climbing mountain roads.
