The space
There are SO MANY amazing things about this home, I will just list a few.
ELEVATOR

Goes to all 3 levels! Bring your luggage or groceries in with ease. Grandparents will have no trouble visiting all levels!

LAKEFRONT

The back of the main house has a big, mowed backyard that butts directly to the lake. It is a gradual, easy, gentle slope to walk. However, some prefer to ride, so we provide a (COMPLIMENTARY) 2025 Evolution lithium battery powered golf cart (w/stereo) for your use! This cart has 4 seats and is perfect for moving guests to and from the lake/home. It also works well to haul coolers, toys etc.

SWIMMING & BOATING

This property is perfect for swimming as the water becomes gradually deeper as you enter (Great for young kids). The shore and lake do not have weeds!

Down by the swimming area is the new aluminum dock that stretches over 80' into the water!

Attached to the dock is a jet-ski port with rollers that will keep your ski out of the water when not in use! You simply drive up on it.

The dock also features a platform to lay out in the sun, 4 (COMPLIMENTARY) kayaks for your use (on racks) and a swim ladder for those who choose to jump in!

The outdoor shed (by the firepit) contains (COMPLIMENTARY) lawn chairs, life jackets, paddles & swim noodles for your use. There are now even fishing poles and tackle for you to use.

BOAT LAUNCH

There are several boat launches in the area including the neighborhood launch that is just down the street a mile (directions are in the digital guest book).

PRIVACY

This home is secluded with woods on 3 sides! The side yard is gated and the mountain views from the 3rd floor are amazing!

OUTDOOR FIREPIT

The firepit is located in the back yard overlooking the lake and has 8 surrounding chairs.

You will find 20 sticks of (COMPLIMENTARY) firewood in the box next to the firepit to get you started.

In the house, by the indoor fireplace you will find a bucket that contains (COMPLIMENTARY) roasting sticks and a few other campfire items for your use.

HAMMOCK ISLAND

Adjacent to the firepit and overlooking the lake you will find 4 hammocks strung up for your use. While swinging and lounging you can watch the nightly bonfire & stars or simply enjoy the late afternoon shade.

OUTDOOR DINING ROOM

Seating for 16 overlooking the lake and mountains. Pull the shades in the afternoon & raise them in the evening as you dine next to a gas in wall fireplace or enjoy a game on the outdoor smart TV (or both)!

FRISBEE GOLF

Play your own PRIVATE COURSE - 3 Professional Nets spaced throughout the huge, mowed back lawn. We supply 2 set of discs to use or bring your own!

GRILLING AREA

The grilling area is located on the back patio.

(COMPLIMENTARY) propane is provided for the Weber gas grill (large grilling surface).

There are plenty of couches/chairs, a rolling cooler and several picnic tables there for your use as well.

HOT TUB

At the back of the house is the 6-person hot tub. This tub overlooks the lake & often beautiful sunsets. There are stairs to enter/exit.

GAMEROOM

A pool table, shuffleboard, electronic dart board, ping pong table, multi-cade video game, electronic roller golf, large screen smart TV, game table with chairs, assorted board games, stereo & newly added KARAOKE MACHINE await!

BAR

Situated outside the game room is the bar room. Use the ice maker to start a drink at the mini bar and play some cards at the round table in the quiet atmosphere.

MOVIE THEATER

Featuring: 10 fully reclinable Italian leather seats, a huge screen, 8 wall mounted speakers, surround sound, 2 subwoofers (for deep base), carpeted walls and soundproof insulation.

Stream your favorite shows or movies over the fast fiber internet using your favorite apps!

Share photos, watch the big game, make a presentation or simply watch TV.

COFFEE BAR

The coffee bar features a coffee machine that brews individual pods or by the carafe. A coffee grinder & plenty of ceramic cups as well as to-go cups (with lids) are also there for your use.

Complimentary coffee pods (about a dozen), tea bags (several assorted flavors), sugar packets, creamer packets and a half pound of whole been coffee is provided.

INTERNET

Complimentary FIBER Wi-Fi is provided to the home. This internet is fast!

CHEF'S KITCHEN

Featuring a Sub-Zero refrigerator/freezer, warming drawer, 6 burner gas stove, double oven, built in microwave and huge Island. Everything you need to make a 5 STAR MEAL!

TOWELS & TOILETRIES & LINENS

Plenty of bath towels, hand towels, and wash cloths are provided for your stay. Fresh linens are also provided and in place on the beds. Additional blankets are available on site as well.

The golf cart is not licensed to be on the road, and we ask that only adult drive it. If we see children driving or the cart is being used for anything other than transportation to/from the lake, it will be removed.

Any damage to this golf cart, or caused by it, will be your responsibility.

Note: Douglas Lake is a TVA impoundment of the French Broad River, and TVA lowers the water level during the fall and winter months. No guarantees can, or will, be given as to available water levels. Historical water level charts are available online. Experience seems to indicate that there is usually boatable water to the dock from around the middle of April until mid to mid-September.
