The Wandering Goat is your getaway in the Black Hills, located near downtown Custer, South Dakota and the Mickelson Trail. Its peaceful location on 3 acres provides the perfect place to relax in the hot tub after adventures to Custer State Park, Crazy Horse Memorial, Mount Rushmore, Wind Cave and more. Decks wrap 3 sides of the home for nature viewing. The home includes 3 bedrooms, 2.5 baths, a large open kitchen, two living rooms, BBQ grill and lots of space to spread out! Bring your UTVs!
Sleeping arrangements include a

*queen murphy bed in the downstairs living area.
The home is well-appointed, featuring some art from local or up-and-coming artists, including a portrait of the wandering goat himself.

Like many Black Hills homes, we do not have air conditioning. The windows and doors have screens to provide fresh mountain air. Hot tub is available only May 15th to September 15th.
Located in Custer, this vacation home is in a rural area and near theme parks. While the natural beauty of Black Hills National Forest and Custer State Park can be enjoyed by anyone, those looking for an activity can check out Sylvan Lake.
Needles Highway and Granite Sports are also worth visiting. Discover the area's water adventures with kayaking and rafting nearby, or enjoy the great outdoors with hiking/biking trails and cycling.
