Off the beaten path in historic and adventure-filled Crested Butte, CO, this is a lovely 2 bedroom 2 bathroom condo located in the Skyland subdivision with the beautiful Slate River meandering through...all just 3 miles south of the wonderful restaurants and shops in downtown Crested Butte.

For summer visitors there is a plethora of activities. In this area, hiking, mountain biking, and wildflowers dominate the landscape and nowhere else in Colorado can match it, but there’s so much more! The fairways of the Robert Trent Jones designed golf course at the Club at Crested Butte is just 3 wood away. White water rafting on the Taylor River is less than 30 minutes away, and the valley also offers great fly fishing opportunities on three different rivers. Rent a paddleboard and float the Slate, or take one up to nearby Lake Irwin. Looking to simply stretch your legs and take in the fresh mountain air and non-stop, breath-taking vistas? The neighborhood is a great place for an afternoon walk, and it’s just a 20 minute stroll to Lake Grant.

Winter time is equally amazing. The ski resort at Mt. Crested Butte is just a 10 minute drive to the base area where the paid parking is very reasonable… plan to arrive early during holiday periods. You may also park FREE at the Visitor’s Center downtown and take the FREE shuttle (it runs every 15 minutes) to the Mt. Crested Butte ski area. (If you’re bringing your own skis, there’s a ski locker on the ground level, and a boot warmer in the unit!) Other winter activities include snow shoeing and cross country skiing, both available through the world-class Nordic Center in town, and next to door to the that is an ice-skating arena! Snowmobile guides and rentals are also very popular around Crested Butte. Or just sit back in the warmth of Slate River Retreat and take in the peaceful, white landscape from the large windows found throughout the unit.

Slate River Retreat is a quick 5-minute drive to historic downtown Crested Butte. You can also take a 5 minute walk from the unit to the free RTA bus on Hwy 135 that will get you to the town of Crested Butte or the ski area.

The master bedroom has a queen bed and the second bedroom has two twin beds. There is a very nice leather sleeper sofa with a memory foam mattress in the living area if you need one more sleeping space. The home has a Smart TV with streaming capabilities and is also equipped with a Bluetooth sound bar that you can use to enjoy your favorite music. The kitchen is well-equipped with all new dishes, drinkware, flatware, pots, pans, and cooking utensils.
