This peaceful single-story cottage is located on a rare double lot above street level, which offers an exceptional amount of privacy for this neighborhood. It is one of very few original 1940's cottages that still remain in Corona del Mar - A charming piece of history, upgraded with all of the modern amenities and comfortable luxuries that one might need. Enjoy coffee on the front patio while you watch countless birds and butterflies compete for the unique and beautiful garden flowers. Or sink in to the comfortable day-bed on your private side patio, while you enjoy a glass of wine and relax to the sounds of the water garden. Both yards are Certified Backyard Wildlife Habitats, designed to attract native hummingbirds, songbirds and butterflies in abundance.

IMPORTANT NOTE: This property is not easily accessible by wheelchair. Because this is an original 1940s property that has not been altered structurally, some aspects of the layout could present mobility issues. (Specifically, most of the original doors are under 28” wide, and the garden entrance has uneven natural stepping stones and front steps leading to the cottage.)

REGARDING COVID-19 SAFETY PRECAUTIONS: As any of our repeat guests will confirm, we have always taken cleaning of our cottages between guests to a rather "extreme" level! The three main cleaning agents that we use for hard surfaces are 70% Isopropyl alcohol, 8% Hydrogen Peroxide and chlorine bleach, and for soft surfaces, 90% Isopropyl alcohol and steam cleaning. All bedding, (not just sheets) including blankets and comforter covers, protective pillow case covers, are changed between guests. Pillows and comforters are tumbled in the dryer on high heat for a minimum of 15 minutes before changing pillow case covers and putting on clean pillow cases and sheets. All soft surfaces of headboard and bed frame are sprayed with alcohol and allowed to dry.
IF YOU ARE A HIGH-RISK INDIVIDUAL, IT IS ESSENTIAL THAT YOU DISCUSS YOUR TRAVEL PLANS WITH YOUR PHYSICIAN PRIOR TO BOOKING! Although we have created a sterile environment inside, we cannot control the environment outside your door. Needless to say, there are many other factors to take into consideration when traveling during a pandemic. Only you and your doctor can assess your situation and make an informed decision after evaluating whatever factors are involved.
