A LITTLE BACKGROUND: Once we were sure the COVID mess was over, we made the decision to go thru the house, room by room, and remodel and upgrade to suit our more particular VRBO guests. With the help of a brilliant decorator, wanted every room to be sensational with an upscale country Colorado look -- you'll see the results of her good taste in the pictures up ahead.

Installed a new 7-person hot tub, billiards table, ping pong table tennis table, and all new state-of-the-art kitchen. Could not improve on the spectacular views, God took care of that as you can see from almost every window! You'll never get vistas like these at even the finest hotels.

Tried to keep in mind all the things we love and don't like in our years of VRBO renting ourselves so your stay is a rich source of kick-back making memories ... and will make you have to come back again and again!

This private home is spacious and comfortable — the perfect spot for a family getaway! This "Home Away From Home" is in the perfect setting to enjoy the spectacular beauty and "purple mountain majesty" of Colorado Springs. Enjoy unobstructed views of world-famous Pike's Peak, the Rocky Mountains and trees galore, birds (even eagles sometimes) and deers. This is a wonderful place to gather for special occasions with family, friends, church groups or your over-worked team from the office. Hang out and just unwind, unplug and kick back as you gaze at Pikes Peak from almost every window!

Two levels of spread-out room for you and the kids here — we offer approximately 3,900 square feet of room for everyone to be comfortable to the max, with plenty of space and privacy whenever you want it. A 65" /AI TV with either pool table or table tennis ... up to you. Workout room with treadmill, TotalGym, NordicTrack and Inversion Machine available for the more ambitious in your party. And there's even an additional kitchen downstairs options to make your group happy.

This lovely getaway is nestled in a quiet, mature, tree lavished neighborhood, a block from a large park for kids, and only minutes from the "I25 Corridor" freeway and the Woodmen exit. If you're unfamiliar with Colorado Springs -- that means you're conveniently located within 10-15 minutes of the Air Force Academy, UCCS, Colorado College, Garden of the Gods, the gorgeous Broadmoor Hotel, the Olympic Training Center, downtown Colorado Springs, Old Colorado City, ProRodeo, the unique Manitou Springs community, the Mining Museum, as well as dozens of great dining and shopping options! There are many other exciting things to do in the "Springs" ... and only about an hour away from Denver and DIA.

What you'll also discover is that you're only minutes from the most jaw-dropping beauty you can imagine and minutes from wonderful places to discover outdoors in this phenomenal area—including the best hiking trails in Colorado. Depending on when you visit, you may also choose to go white water rafting or downhill skiing/snow boarding/snow mobiling -- all approximately two hours from the RefugeOasis.

Or enjoy our 65" HD TV with AI capability and Xfinity-Comcast X-1 platform and On-Demand ... and every sports channel under the sun (well, almost every).

When you're in the mood for some SERIOUS SHOPPING, it's just a quick hop up I-25 to the Outlet Malls in Castle Rock, or just 20-30 minutes to find unique treasures in downtown Colorado Springs, Old Colorado City or Manitou Springs. Pueblo, CO is about a one hour commute with other fun attractions. When it's time to leave, you will be less than 30 minutes from the Colorado Springs Airport (COS) or about a 1.5 hour commute from DIA -- the Denver International Airport. The local airport now offers flights to many more destinations.

You'll love the fully-stocked spacious kitchen with a Keurig single-serve coffee maker and loads of delicious coffee pods from which to choose. We even have you covered with a Vitamix blender for those who enjoy making their favorite smoothies.

Enjoy dinner together in the lovely dining room with knockout views of the Rockies, visit with the cooks through a pass-thru window in the kitchen. This home was remodeled with family love, fun and unity in mind.

You can talk with people relaxing in the super-comfortable living room while making a drink or getting snacks in the kitchen — no obstructing walls in between. Warm up next to the cozy gas fireplace in the living room when the weather gets colder, or gather 'round to watch movies or your favorite TV shows. You'll enjoy a Bose sound system in the living room to link in to your favorite music too.

From the living room, you walk out onto a wonderful large private covered deck with ceiling fan—and killer views—with a propane grill and a "serenity now" bubbling fountain to sooth frazzled nerves. This is one of the best places to read, enjoy the breathtaking sunsets over the mountains, and just hang out to talk and reminisce in the crisp, clean Colorado mountain air.

You will not believe the views form the master bedroom as well. These views could be made into postcards! The master bedroom is large enough for a comfortable king-sized bed plus a private sitting area. Shower or take a jetted bubble bath in the master bath, both with unobstructed views of the mountains as you soak away the busyness of the day.

On the walk-in lower level, you'll find the huge TV-game room, workout room with TV, treadmill and inversion machine, and 2 more comfortable bedrooms. The lower level also offers an additional living room and a 2nd kitchen (that the kids particularly love).

From the TV-game room you walk out onto a private patio where you'll discover a 7-person Hot Tub. This is a big favorite for all of our guests ... and of course it comes with spectacular mountain views as well! If you want simply want to socialize, you will find plenty of seating close by to sit near the Hot Tub and enjoy the views. There's even an outdoor shower! Hang out and enjoy the beauty of the trees and mountains while other guests luxuriate in the hot tub. What's not to like about that?!

Many of our guests say they love the layout of our home, since the kids can play downstairs while the "big kids" enjoy their uninterruped time together talking and reconnecting upstairs in the living room or on the back deck.

There's even a playroom with toys for the kids (we call it "Treasure Town") and fun bunk beds. A large office with high speed Internet is available for those who need to stay connected to the real world.
