Designed for togetherness while being mindful of the occasional desire for privacy, this incredible home was built to host mega-crowds in comfort and with ease. As you enter the home you are greeted by big mountain and long water views from the spacious lodge style great room. Warm and inviting, the 3-story room features a vaulted ceiling with exposed trusses, a masonry stone fireplace with gas logs, oak flooring and pine paneled walls. A wall of French doors leads to a spacious lakeside screened porch that runs the length of the home with an area for rocking chairs, dining and an outdoor living room with a river stone, wood burning fireplace. The private and peaceful space frames jaw dropping mountain views, providing the perfect spot for relaxing by the water. The porch is conveniently equipped with hurricane shutters to keep out pollen, wind and rain when the home is not in use.
The great room includes dining for 10+ and an open kitchen equipped with a breakfast bar island, double oven, under counter ice maker, 5 burner gas cooktop, built in microwave, Bosch dishwasher and walk-in pantry. Around the corner is a dry bar, laundry room with sink and entry to the 2 car garage. A half bath and coat closet are located off the foyer.
The private master bedroom is located off the great room offering lake and mountain views. The spacious master bath features a double vanity, separate water closet, air-jetted tub, separate tiled shower with seamless glass door and a generous walk-in closet.
Enjoy working from the main floor study equipped with a stone fireplace, full bath and French doors that lead out to the lakeside screened porch.
Finishing off the main floor is a guest bedroom with pickled pine walls and a private bathroom with tiled bath/shower combo.
Located upstairs is a large lofted game room/living room that overlooks the great room with windows providing lake and mountain views. This is a great space for reading or playing board games. Also located upstairs are four guest bedrooms, each with pine paneled walls, ample closet space and private bathrooms with tiled shower/tub combos. Two of the bedrooms feature lake views and closets large enough to house a crib. One of the bedrooms features access to a large, unfinished storage room above the garage.
The terrace level features a bright and open family room with a stone fireplace, built-in media cabinet, whitewashed pine paneling, coffered ceiling and French doors leading to a covered stone terrace. The family room opens to a dining space and 2nd kitchen equipped with granite countertops, an island with breakfast bar, Bosch dishwasher, Kitchen-aid warming drawer, Amana refrigerator/freezer combo and under counter ice maker. A half bath is located off the kitchen area. A spacious bonus room currently houses a ping pong table but would make a great exercise room. Completing the terrace level are 2 guest bedrooms, both with private bathrooms featuring tiled shower/bath combos.
The 2-story boathouse showcases one of the best views on Lake Burton. The boathouse is tucked away from main-body boat traffic providing a protected swimming area.
