Make great summer memories in this charming and spacious farmhouse. Watch the sunset over the Vineyard Sound and enjoy dinner and drinks on the wraparound deck. The property includes expansive lawns, a flower garden, and a lap pool. With the surrounding beauty, it’s the perfect place to relax, recharge, and enjoy all the Vineyard has to offer. The house rental comes with access to three private beaches around the island. It’s a 20-30 minute walk from Menemsha shops and beach.
The space
The house comfortably sleeps 11 people. There is a large master bedroom on the first floor with its own bathroom and bathtub with shower head (but no stand-up shower). There are two bedrooms upstairs with queen beds and two bedrooms with two single beds each. There is another bedroom upstairs with one single bed. The estate has a huge lawn, flower garden, and lap pool. There is a beautiful view of the sunset over the water. It is a very private and quiet estate. There is a hammock out on the lawn for relaxing. There is also a porch with outdoor tables and chairs for dining outside. There is a fully stocked library with many wonderful books and games for kids and adults that guests are welcome to use.
Guest access
The estate comes with access to three private beaches. There is also a private pool on the estate. There are canoes and various sporting equipment in the garage for guest use.
Other things to note
The house has air conditioning only in the downstairs master bedroom and the study. The upstairs bedrooms have fans, but no A/C.
Renovations
In 2024 there were several updates to the house including installing a brand new mahogany deck; refurbishing the upstairs bathroom including installing a new bathtub and sink; installing 4 new windows in the upstairs Menemsha Sound-facing rooms; and repainting all of the upstairs floors, among other updates.

Chilmark is home to this vacation home. The area's natural beauty can be seen at Middle Road Sanctuary and Wades Field, while Tisbury Town Hall & Katharine Cornell Memorial Theater and Vineyard Playhouse are cultural highlights. Chilmark Chocolates and Fulling Mill Brook Preserve are also worth visiting.
