Knotty pine is a perfectly located quiet city cottage, located for a comfortable walk to interesting restaurants, the fun at Durty Nelly's Pub, the UVA Campus and Stadium, and walk or take a short drive to the UVA Hospital. Of course nothing is too far in the lovely City of Charlottesville - just minutes to begin the wine trail for relaxed tastings, to tour the many breweries or brewpubs, or even tour a distillery of fine Virginia Spirits. Charlottesville is just full of activities - intellectual, gourmet, artistic or just relaxing fun.
You will find that your Knotty Pine home away from home is well equipped with cozy bedding ( Luxurious 350 plus thread count Linens - Bedroom 1 Queen - Bedroom 2 Two Singles), luxurious towels, Tiled Shower (Soap, Shampoo, Body Wash supplied), a fully equipped kitchen, high definition TV with cable (Including HBO, Showtime, ESPN), WiFi, Ceiling Fans, and even a laundry room with plenty of supplies for that emergency wash. (Only the laundry room is shared through a separate entrance).
This is not a party house as it is situated in a quiet residential neighborhood (and we like to keep the place in really good shape ;-)) so this isn't the right choice for boisterous or rowdy fun.
Unfortunately we have not gone over the home for "child proofing" so this home is not suitable for nor offered as an option for families with small children.
There is off-street parking for two cars and a lovely porch for your morning coffee. (Yes, there is a coffeemaker and locally roasted coffee with all the fixin's). A couple of days before your arrival we will supply you with a code for your digital lock so you will have the convenience of casual check-in and departure. Of course, we are available by phone or text for any questions or advice that might enhance your comfort and fun!
Fry's Spring, a neighborhood in Charlottesville, is home to this vacation home. Culbreth Theatre and The Fralin Museum of Art are cultural highlights, and some of the area's attractions include Luther P. Jackson Cultural Center and Charlottesville Ice Park. Looking to enjoy an event or a game while in town? See what's going on at John Paul Jones Arena, or consider a night out at Pippin Hill Farm & Vineyards. Water tubing and rafting offer great chances to get out on the surrounding water, or you can seek out an adventure with horse riding and hiking/biking trails nearby.
