My mother is an excellent designer. She achieved this look of modern minimalist luxury without sacrificing the comfort and needs of a fully functioning dwelling. The kitchen comes fully stocked with all new stainless-steel appliances including a wine fridge. The washer and dryer make this home perfect for long stays.

HOME:

This single-story family-style home boasts 2 Bedrooms (1 King & 1 Queen). Just under the windows in the Grand Room is a high-end, Italian Natuzzi leather Queen-sized Sleeper Sofa (very comfortable – we have all slept in it several times). The huge open-concept living room, kitchen dining room, breakfast room, and wet bar is ideal for gathering - more seating than you could ever need making the living space never feel small. All making this a wonderful, one-of-a-kind, romantic, get-away vacation home for a quiet couple’s retreat or a fun activity-seeking family.

Located just 20 mins from uptown Charlotte, this home is convenient to all the surrounding area has to offer (mall, restaurants, grocery, marina are all less than 5 minutes from the house). Even though you are close to retail shops and malls, you'll escape from the busy world when you drive down our 1/2 mile wooded gravel road that only serves a few homes.

The home just NEXT DOOR is a 6 bedroom house that sleeps 16 - it's an enormous, completely renovated house our family calls "Sandy Cove" (VRBO Listing #1029515).

I own the 3rd house with my two brothers. It is 5 houses down, (or a 6 minute canoe ride) - please feel free to check it out, it gets great reviews! It would be a great option if you have a huge group, or reunion to be down the road from each other! (This house is VRBO Listing #565029)

OUTSIDE:

The yard is simply gorgeous with large, beautiful trees separating you from any next-door neighbors. Enjoy lunch outside or just watch the kids play on beach from the huge deck overlooking lake. Or turn on the warm café-style lighting and enjoy a glass of wine on the beach as the sun sets. Enjoy the dock perfect for laying out, tanning, fishing, jumping in the lake, or just relaxing and hanging out on the comfy Pontoon Boat... listen to your music on the wireless Bluetooth stereo while looking out at the cove. Or wind down the day eating dinner on the huge porch overlooking the lake with a cold one in your hand!

LIVING AREA:

This home has the huge open-concept family room with lots of seating, including a leather recliner for dad, and a new 75 inch 4K SmartTV (w/ DVR, Netflix, HBO, Cinemax, all Premium Package Channels) a dining room table that seats 6, wine fridge, and a FULLY stocked kitchen with dishes, glassware, pot and pans, all large and small appliances, a Kuerig 2.0, and a kitchen counter with barstool seating. The home features a huge living room, kitchen, and dining area with windows overlooking the large deck and the lake from all angles.

BEDROOMS:

There are 2 bedrooms (1 King & 1 Queen). Just under the windows in the Grand Room is the high-end, Italian Natuzzi leather Queen-sized Sleeper Sofa (very comfortable – we have all slept in it several times). Each room is equipped with remote-controlled ceiling fan w/ lights, and 55 inch 4K SmartTV’s w/ DVR, AT&T Uverse TV (all Premium Package Channels). We provide Bath Towels for 6 guests. We provide Bed Linens for all beds including the sleeper sofa for the entire house. However, guests must provide their own Beach Towels to use outside or on the boat. Guests are welcome to use washer/dryer if any sheets or towels need to be cleaned (detergent is provided).

AMENITIES:

Explore the lake on our 2 stand-up Paddle Boards and 4 sit-in Kayaks (just don't forget to wear a life jacket!) We provide tons of high-quality neoprene life jackets of all sizes. We want you to use them!! Be safe out there :) There is a huge comfy patio area right outside the family room complete with seating, outside dining, and a large stainless steel propane grill (be sure to check it when you arrive, if gas runs out - renters are responsible for replacing at any of the nearby grocery and gas stations).

AT&T U-verse TV (1000+ HD and 4K Channels including HBO, Cinemax, and all ESPN channels). The house is equipped with High-speed Fiber Wi-Fi internet that works all the way down to the beach. Or get some relaxing outdoor time and teach your kids how to fish with the 2 full fishing rods, and 2 children's rods with the provided tackle box! You can catch Catfish, Bass, Brim, Crappie, Carp, and Bluegill.

WHAT TO BRING:

Paper towels, Toilet paper, Trash bags (tall bags), any beach towels, and PLENTY of sunscreen!

We provide a set of linens and bath towels for every guest in the house. You are welcome to use the washer and dryer if you would like (but no need to wash your sheets and towels before you check out, you're on vacation!

***We have a zero-tolerance policy for parties or gatherings. We use a noise sensor to detect the noise level inside the suite. The guest amount on your reservation must match the number of guests that will be on the property at any given time. There is a $1000 fee for any parties or gatherings. We do utilize local law enforcement if you cannot abide by these rules and you will be asked to vacate at your own expense. This is a smoke free property. Smoking of any kind is not permitted inside the home. There is a $1000 fee for smoking inside.***

We are happy to host dogs for a non-refundable fee of $250 per pet.

Quiet hours are from 9 pm to 8am. Please be respectful of our neighbors as they are permanent residents.
