Formerly industrial, the area has been transformed into a hipster paradise of coffee shops, coworking spaces, and dance clubs. There's also an impressive culinary scene, with options for all palates at all price points to be found on 4th Avenue. The nearby Barclays Center is the perfect place to catch a game or a concert. Gowanus is served by the D, F, G, N, R and W lines of the New York City subway system.
