This wonderful little mountain home has been in our family for generations, and we come here whenever we visit the area. It has been updated recently, and we have decided to begin sharing it with guests. It is in a peaceful setting just outside Brevard, and it's convenient to all the wonderful outdoor activities and attractions that make our area so appealing. FREE activities including Biltmore, Rock Wall, Zipline, Whitewater Rafting, Trampoline Park, Snow Tubing and Axe Throwing.
Everything here is located on the upper level. An open floor plan makes this the perfect home for entertaining. The living space has a large TV and comfy seating, and adjoins the dining area and the well stocked kitchen. We love the big bathroom, and three cozy bedrooms await just down the hall. We have a record player and a record collection in the living room, and through the sliding glass doors you will find a nice deck with Adirondack chairs where you can enjoy the view of the neighbor's pond. There is a charcoal grill on the deck as well.
Brevard is home to the renowned Brevard Music Center, and is host to annual festivals including the White Squirrel Festival in early June, great 4th of July festivals, the Mountain Song Festival every September, and lots of fun activities on Halloween (Brevard is in Transylvania County, after all). Be sure to check out the event calendar for the Porter Center, which is the performing arts venue for Brevard College. You should check out Pisgah National Forest and DuPont State Forest, both a short drive away, and it takes only about 20 minutes to get to the beautiful Gorges State Park. Asheville and Hendersonville are both nearby, and they feature lots of attractions if you want to take a day trip or two.

Located in Brevard, this vacation home is in a rural area and in the mountains. The area's natural beauty can be seen at Headwaters State Forest and Bracken Preserve, while Transylvania Heritage Museum and Brevard Music Center are cultural highlights. Traveling with kids? Consider Crystal Mountain Gem Mine and Pisgah Astronomical Research Institute. Be sure to check out the area's animals with activities such as game walks and birdwatching.
