A native of Kansas CIty, Missouri, Dr. Theno attended the University of Missouri - Columbia for her undergraduate coursework in Animal Science and for her DVM. While attending veterinary college, Dr. Theno observed veterinary clinics in Missouri and Colorado. She graduated from the University of Missouri's College of Veterinary Medicine in 2006. She practiced in Bowling Green, Missouri where she worked on cattle, horses, dogs, cats and a Patagonian Cavy before moving to Kentucky. When not in the exam room, she can be found in her garden, walking or playing with her girls.

Dr. Theno and Dr. Mike Williams were married August 31, 2008. They live outside of Brandenburg with their 2 daughters, one dog, four cats and 12 fish.
