Dawn on the Lake is a cheery, well-maintained home situated on a large waterfront lot on Poplar Creek off Lake Gaston. With four bedrooms and four full baths, it’s the ideal place for a family vacation, holiday gathering, tying the knot, or even a quiet, romantic weekend. No matter the season, Dawn on the Lake is the perfect place to social distance, relax and get away from it all.

The house has three cozy levels nestled into the bank of the Poplar creek. The road or upper-level contains a five-space parking area connected to the house by a raised walkway. The upper-level entrance is equipped with a smart lock. Covered in bamboo flooring, the upper-level has two bedrooms that share a full bath: the Thunderbolt Room has a king-size bed and a double-size futon; and, the Bowtie Room has a queen-size bed.

The laminated main or middle-level has an open floor plan with a living room, eat-in kitchen, entertainment area, and full bath. The kitchen is well-equipped with a flat-top stove/oven, dishwasher, microwave, Keurig, coffee grinder, toaster, and refrigerator, and is stocked with plates, bowls, glasses, coffee mugs, silverware, pots, pans, and utensils. The dining table seats eight, and the kitchen has a breakfast bar with seven stools in the entertainment area. The living room and entertainment area are perfect gathering spots and serve as additional sleeping areas with a pull-out queen-size sofa bed. The living room opens up to a large screened-in deck with a ceiling fan where you can relax and enjoy the sunset over the lake. The unscreened portion of the deck has a gas grill and exterior steps which lead to the lake-level and lower parking.

The lake-level has two bedrooms and two full bathrooms. The Moon Room with its stunning lake-view is furnished with a king-size bed and contains an ensuite full bath. The Seashell Room has a queen-size bed and a double-size futon. The lake-level has a separate full bath, and the gathering room between the bedrooms has a double-size futon. On the lake-level you will find a full-sized washer/dryer, a second refrigerator, and an exterior exit to another parking area with three additional parking spaces.

Dawn on the Lake provides outdoor activities for the whole family. The lakeside front yard is grass-covered and perfect for play, swinging under the pergola, or a good night story next to the fire pit under the night sky filled with stars. The property has a private pier equipped with rubber bumpers from which you can safely fish, float, and swim. The water is relatively shallow, so jumping or diving from the dock is not permitted. If you have a boat, you can launch at the recreational area just minutes away and dock at the pier. The beautiful, wide creek is great for water skiing, jet skiing, fishing, or just cruising. A canoe and kayak are available for your use. Paddles are included, but be sure to bring your own life jackets.

The house is child-friendly, but not child-proof. There are emergency exits on each level. Each level is equipped with a fire extinguisher: on the upper level, at the entrance to the house; on the middle level, in front of the refrigerator; and on the lower level, by the door. Board games are available for use, and the house has TVs and a DVD player. The house is climate controlled with heat and air conditioning on all three levels. Linens and towels are provided, but must be washed, dried, and returned to their original location upon departure. Check-in is 4:00 pm. Check-out is 10:00 am. The cleaning crew arrives at 10:30 am.

Located in Bracey, this vacation home is in a rural area and on the waterfront. Rosemont Vineyards and South Hill Country Club are worth checking out if an activity is on the agenda, while those wishing to experience the area's natural beauty can explore Lake Gaston and La Crosse Town Park. Jet skiing, kayaking, and water skiing offer great chances to get out on the surrounding water, or you can seek out an adventure with hiking/biking trails nearby.
