There is a bus stop for AppalCart public transit system at the foot of our hill which will shuttle you all around town~

Again, consider LOCATION, LOCATION, LOCATION: Solitude & scenery can be great. But traveling to and from an otherwise wonderful vacation rental that is stuck in the middle of nowhere on a curvy\ slick\foggy
arrow\unpaved mountain road can get old (and dangerous) mighty quickly.
If you are planning to do anything other than just staying put, you will probably be headed to Boone (or wishing you could). Just sayin'...

Located in Boone, this cottage is near theme parks. Appalachian Ski Mountain and Beech Mountain Resort are worth checking out if an activity is on the agenda, while those wishing to experience the area's natural beauty can explore Pisgah National Forest and The Blowing Rock. Tweetsie Railroad and Turchin Center for the Visual Arts are also worth visiting. Take in the nearby slopes with cross-country skiing and snowboarding, or check out other outdoor activities such as snowmobiling and ice skating.
