Located in Hound Ears gated community, Alpine Sanctuary is perfectly situated to many attractions in the High Country. The Blue Ridge Parkway is about five miles away and offers several overlooks to take in the breathtaking views and hiking trails for hikers of all skill levels. Take a walk around Bass Lake, or explore the Cone Manor. The town of Boone is less than fifteen minutes away, and has a plethora of local restaurants and breweries, as well as local shopping in downtown Boone, and several parks the kids in your party are sure to love. Banner Elk is less than twenty away and features local dining, wineries, and the Wilderness Run Alpine Coaster. Downtown Blowing Rock, about twenty minutes from the cabin, is the perfect mountain town to stroll, shop, or have a bite to eat. The town park will delight guests of all ages with playgrounds, tennis courts, and basketball courts.

Alpine Sanctuary is a charming mountain cottage located on a tree-lined lot. The main yard is fenced-in making it an inviting atmosphere for the dogs in your family. The living room has vaulted ceilings with exposed beams and a wall of windows to add light and warmth to the space. The leather furniture is situated around the stacked rock wood-burning fireplace, and offers an inviting place to gather and relax after a day of skiing or hiking on the parkway. The tongue and groove paneled walls are carried from the living room into the dining area and kitchen, creating a seamless flow throughout the main level. The back deck is accessed from the living room, and treats guests to a large deck surrounded by mature trees. Enjoy a meal from the grill at the outdoor dining table. Lounge on the outdoor sectional and take in the fresh mountain air. Propane heaters are provided to add comfort on a cool evening. The loft provides a fun game area for guests to play shuffleboard or a game at the arcade machine. There is also a desk in the loft for remote work.

Alpine Sanctuary is a two-level home that can accommodate up to eight guests. There are three bedrooms, all with ensuites. The master bedroom is located on the main floor and has a king bed, TV, and access to the deck. The ensuite bathroom has a tub/shower combo. Downstairs, the queen bedroom has a TV, access to the lower deck, and an ensuite bathroom with a step-in shower. The twin bedroom can sleep four guests in two twin beds with trundles. The bedroom has a TV, access to the lower deck, and an ensuite bathroom with a step-in shower.

Additional amenities include Wifi, mini-splits in the living room and in each bedroom, and laundry room. Up to two dogs are welcome with an additional pet fee. There is a ring doorbell camera at the main entry door. The house is accessed via a paved driveway. The driveway is steep, but has two level parking areas. AWD or 4WD is recommended for winter travelers. Please note: Hound Ears does not allow motorcycles within the gated areas.
