When you have some free time, be sure to explore the Heritage Center, located near the state capitol grounds. Don't go home without taking a walk or bike ride down by the Missouri River. During summer months, the old fashioned paddle boat host dinner and site seeing tours. The Dakota Zoo is a also a family favorite. Another must see is our capitol building. There is a "monkey room" in which the walls are constructed of a type of wood where the likeness of various animal faces can be seen.
