This one-of-a-kind home on a tucked-away street has a location that can't be beat -- a stone's throw from the First Street Rapids Park, an easy walk to downtown, and quick access to the Bend Parkway.
With a warm and friendly vibe, the newly remodeled property has two bedrooms and two baths, sleeping up to four guests. The main floor includes a welcoming entry, cozy living room, laundry/storage room, a bedroom, bathroom, and the all-new sunny and bright kitchen -- a welcoming, well-equipped space. A large pantry/closet, right off the kitchen, has space for storing coolers, picnic supplies, food items and more. Upstairs, the master suite -- with bedroom, bath and balcony -- provides its own little getaway, and a peekaboo view of the river.
The front yard, just outside the kitchen door, provides an inviting space to gather, dine, enjoy a drink or relax with a book. From here you can see, hear and feel the Deschutes river as it makes its way through town. There are also a couple great swimming holes with large rocks to kick back only seconds away. Around the side of the house you will find another, more secluded, patio space.
Walk down the steps at the end of the street to the First Street Rapids Park. Cast your fishing line into the river from a large boulder at river's edge. Turn right on the path and take the footbridge that crosses over the river to the Aubrey Butte River Trail. Turn in the opposite direction along the river path and walk to downtown Bend -- just a short walk away!
To venture beyond downtown, take the parkway just outside the neighborhood, to numerous points of interest in town and beyond -- Mt Bachelor Ski Resort, fabulous mountain lakes, hiking and biking trails, beautiful golf courses and many more of the attractions that make Bend such a popular destination.
Located on a river, this vacation home is in River West, a neighborhood in Bend. Pilot Butte State Park and Tumalo State Park reflect the area's natural beauty and area attractions include Sun Mountain Fun Center and Bend Rock Gym. High Desert Museum and Petersen Rock Garden are also worth visiting. Take in the nearby slopes with cross-country skiing, snowboarding, and skiing, or check out other outdoor activities such as ice skating.
