Sunrise to sunset, Esmeralda Del Mar (EDM) features breathtaking scenic views of the crystal clear emerald and turquoise waters of the Caribbean. Completed in May of 2017, EDM is a Tropical Modern design family home located on the beach, five miles North of San Pedro Town on Ambergris Caye and a ¼ mile from the largest barrier reef in this hemisphere. The home was custom designed and built to be a memorable place for family and friends to relax, have fun, catch up and share life's special moments.
The Main House features two floors and three spacious outdoor living and deck areas (there is even a rooftop deck!). The top floor welcomes guests with an open floor plan, vaulted ceilings, a master bedroom with an attached luxurious bathroom, a half bath, a fully equipped kitchen, a spacious living room, dining room and an executive office*(see note below), all with an ocean front view! This home was designed with outdoor living in mind, so the top floor includes 800 square feet of deck for your enjoyment and access to the rooftop deck. The Rooftop Deck offers a stunning 360 view of the Caribbean and the surrounding Island (A perfect place to gather at sunset or sunrise!) The first floor features an open floor plan and two bedrooms, a fully equipped kitchen, spacious living room and dining area, all ocean front views. In addition to the indoor living space, there is 700 square feet of deck space, a private pool, deck, and walk-out beach access.

The details of Esmeralda Del Mar are unparalleled. Each bedroom suite door is hand carved by local artisans, and each king bed is handmade with Belizean mahogany, accompanied by memory foam mattresses and luxury bedding. The large bathrooms feature hand painted double sinks and large walk-in closets offer ample storage. The kitchens are generously appointed with stainless steel appliances and high-end, plentiful kitchenware for groups who enjoy the option of cooking or cooking together. The living rooms feature entertainment centers. The top floor includes a 65” Samsung Smart Ultra HD Flat Screen TVs with a Sonos Sound Bar and the first floor features a 60” Samsung Smart Ultra HD Flat Screen TV with a Bose Sound Bar.

A separate private Casita, within steps of the Main House, is included. The Casita features a bathroom, queen sized bed, kitchenette, living room, Smart HD TV and covered porch. This beautiful addition to EDM is nestled amongst the palm trees, with an ocean view for your enjoyment.
Both the Main House and Casita are air conditioned and have ceiling fans throughout. Property is served by a central purified water system (so you can drink the water!). Guests also have access to a washer and dryer for convenience.

For your enjoyment we have three kayaks, two bikes, two stand-up-paddle boards, on site for guest use.

EDM offers complimentary pick up service at San Pedro Airport upon arrival.
There are over a half dozen restaurants/bars within a 20 minute walk along the beach from the home and at least a dozen more within a 20 minute golf cart ride along with several larger boutique Belizean resorts which also have restaurants and bars. Several grocery stores (Belizean size) are in the area with two that deliver. If you wish to eat in but not cook, our caretaker’s wife will prepare excellent Belizean meals upon request.

Our beach is soft white sand with a gentle slope into the ocean. The ocean bottom in front of Esmeralda Del Mar is all natural and is generally soft sand, turtle grass or similar marine vegetation. We recommend beach shoes be worn because it is a living sea bottom with vegetation, sea life and some shells. Depth can range from under a foot at the shoreline to six to ten feet at the reef depending on the tide and other conditions. The slope is gradual.
If you go in the ocean, please note it is the swimmer’s responsibility to be aware of boat traffic at all times and especially around docks and between the end of docks and the reef. Both recreational and light commercial traffic does occur between the shore and the reef from time to time all along Ambergris Caye. Swimming after dusk is not recommended.

* The upstairs private executive office features a desk (yes, with a view of the ocean), office chair, multifunction printer, basic office supplies, multiple electric outlets, a surge protector, high speed internet and both an in room ceiling fan and separate air conditioner. It also contains a day bed which can be used to spread out materials…..and leave them there when you are done without concern for privacy.
Also, please note that Esmeralda Del Mar maintains the highest standards regarding hygiene, cleanliness and safety. Our housekeeper is professionally trained, is on-site and dedicated to cleaning only Esmeralda Del Mar, not other properties. Accordingly, Esmeralda Del Mar is thoroughly cleaned after each and every stay and we include a mid-week cleaning for all of our guests as well.

Located in San Pedro, this villa is on the beach. While the natural beauty of Belize Barrier Reef and Hol Chan Marine Reserve can be enjoyed by anyone, those looking for an activity can check out San Pedro Belize Express Water Taxi.
Mexico Rocks and GoFish Belize are also worth visiting. Jet skiing and kayaking offer great chances to get out on the surrounding water, or you can seek out an adventure with ecotours and cycling nearby.
